Kanye West is well known for his musical talent, and also equally popularly recognized for his controversial conduct and sentiments. A former bodyguard of West has opened up about his time working for the rapper and the intense and often "ridiculous" rules he had to follow.

News coverage of music artist Kanye West does not stop at his music career. The 42-year-old rapper is known for openly speaking his mind, whether it's about music, fashion, politics, religion, or marriage to his wife Kim Kardashian. Over the course of West's career, he has made unforgettable moments, including interrupting Taylor Swift's VMA acceptance speech to blasting former President George Bush for "not caring about black people." His unconventional, and often controversial, behavior has only increased over the years with avid support for President Trump and claiming that slavery was "a choice." In a recent report it has been revealed that West's antics aren't limited to being on camera.

During a recent episode of the Hollywood Raw podcast with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn, West's former bodyguard, Steve Stanulis, shared about his time working for the rapper. The working relationship between the former New York City Police Department officer and the Yeezy designer started off intense from their first encounter. "I was supposed to meet him at the studio. When he gets there, we get into the elevator and he's like, 'Aren't you going to push what floor we're going to?'," recalls Stanulis about first meeting West. "I said, I have no idea, it's my first day." The retired cop's lack of knowledge of what floor they were going to lead to one of West's infamous rants.

While Stanulis was able to dissolve that instance with what he refers to as the "one, two, threes," that would not be the last time the former security guard would have to use his method. "It happened numerous times I gave him the one, two, threes," Stanulis stated. He also went on to share some of the rules and guidelines he had to follow, for instance being instructed "to stay 10 paces behind him on a city street" and how West would get angry at him for "being in his shot."

West may be known for his conduct and being difficult to work with but that he is also considered one of the most talented and hardworking artists of our time. The rapper has been quiet now, allegedly working on his music. Maybe one day his work will outshine his unwarranted opinions and give him credit for his art.
