Kanye West has some opinions about his daughter, Chicago, after Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Khloe Kardashian posted a series of photos with her 3-year-old niece. Kanye's connections to the Kardashian family have become estranged after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from the “Gold Digger” rapper in late 2020. Kanye and Kim share four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2. While initial news of the Kimye separation was shocking, the drama surrounding the divorce has escalated. Tensions became heated in December after Kim revealed she was seriously dating Saturday Night Live fan-favorite Pete Davidson.

Known for the occasional social media tantrum, Kanye has taken to his Instagram and Twitter accounts to voice his complaints surrounding Kim dating Davidson and Kim's methods of raising their children. Outside of Kanye releasing a diss track with physical threats toward Davidson, who he calls “Skete”, Kanye has also criticized Kim for allowing North on Tik Tok and claims the KUWTK star withholds time with his children. Kanye has peppered his series of complaints with confirmation that he wishes to get back together with Kim for the sake of their children, at points even begging Kim to take him back. Kanye’s appeal for change has yet to produce any changes, recent reports indicate that Kim and Davidson continue to “happily” date.

The most recent criticism received from the “Off the Grid” rapper is directed toward ex-sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian after Khloe posted a series of photos to Instagram Stories with his youngest daughter, Chicago. In Kanye’s since-deleted Instagram post, Khloe and Chicago pose for the "Girls Day" photo, pouting and smiling for the camera. Chicago seems to be wearing a touch of purple eye shadow and thick eyelashes, sparking Kanye to caption his repost of the photo, “These pics are too grown looking for my little girl.” The post has sparked a widespread internet discussion surrounding the sexualization of young women on social media.

Many who have seen the photo of Chicago argue that Khloe was using a face-altering filter and that Chicago wasn’t truly wearing any makeup. The potential filter has caused many to question Khloe’s choice to use the filter on a child, feeling that the filter is inappropriate for someone Chicago's age. In a Reddit discussion surrounding Kanye’s latest explosion, many argue that if Kanye feels uncomfortable about the photo that he should have avoided reposting it at all. Some argue that Kanye using the term “grown” is based on problematic standards for young women and society’s tendency to sexualize women at any age. A widespread thought within the internet discourse is Kanye's issue with the photo seems to be just one of many issues that could be addressed privately with the Kardashians rather than being showcased for all of Instagram to review.

As a star of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloe is bound to experience internet critics slamming her photos but not typically from her ex-brother-in-law. As the father to Kim’s children, Kanye will likely hold a place in the Kardashian-Jenner’s landscape for quite some time. With his latest social media tirade, the family has seemingly taken a step back from the divorce madness. Whether or not Khloe entertained Kanye’s latest criticism is unknown. With the context of the past few months, it would be no surprise if the complaints about Chicago are seen by the Kardashians as just one of the many ploys Kanye has made to grab Kim’s attention.
