Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum Kim Kardashian's estranged husband Kanye West didn't hold back in expressing how he felt about their daughter North wearing lipstick on TikTok. Lately, the air has been heated between Kim and Kanye after he accused her of preventing him from seeing their kids. Also, he alleged in an Instagram Live that he wasn't allowed to attend his other daughter Chicago's birthday party. In the video, the Donda rapper claimed he was kept away from the festivities and was not given the address. However, he was later spotted at the event while talking to Kim's mom, Kris Jenner. In another video, Kanye expressed delight at being able to attend Chicago's birthday and hailed Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott for letting him in.
However, amid the drama between Kanye and Kim over their kids, their daughter North has been generating attention on TikTok over her activities on the social media platform. In one of North's posts, she shared a video that showed her wearing a pink eye shadow, red nose, and brown lipstick as she did her best to emulate the Grinch's dog Max. In the clip, the 8-year-old lip-synced to one of the Grinch's monologues. North's makeup in the video looked so professionally done that it was easy to assume that her mom had a hand in it. Also, North shared posted another video that showed her performing a makeup tutorial of her reindeer look. Although the videos looked cute and generated much reactions, some people wondered what North's dad would think about them, especially as she was wearing lipstick.
Those wondering what Kanye felt about North's lipstick-wearing video on TikTok got their answers following the rapper's interview with Jason Lee on Hollywood Unlocked. During the chat with Jason, the seemingly unhappy Kanye minced no words in expressing his thoughts about North's TikTok video. He said, "My cousins had two directives [when meeting with kim] — I said ‘I want you to go and talk to Kim’ because I don’t want to talk to her and get into an argument. There’s two things I said, tell her — security not gonna be in between me and my kids, and also tell her, don’t have my daughter wearing lipstick on TikTok. Kanye added, "And don’t have her TikTok at all if I don’t approve that. And I said it after it was done without me knowing. And then it happened again. So I feel like it’s poking the bear or trying to antagonize me or create this crazy narrative."
This is not the first time in recent weeks that Kanye is criticizing Kim's style of parenting. In his recently released song Eazy, the father of four called out his ex for resorting to nannies and cameras to help raise their kids. In the song, he also threatened to beat up the SKIMS founder's boyfriend, Pete Davidson. Following Kanye's lyrics about Kim's parenting on Eazy, it was reported it was a low blow for the rapper to target his ex for having nannies. Reportedly, many of Kim's friends did not think his lyrics were right either. Kim has done a good job at not responding to Kanye's jabs even when he threatened Pete and one wonders if she would react now following his comments about their daughter's TikTok activities.
So much has happened since Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021. After a rocky post-divorce filing period, Kim and Kanye seemed to be in good terms and supported each other through different projects including his Donda album release and her Saturday Night Live debut. However, their relationship has soured since Kim's relationship with Pete was made known. Kanye did his best to win back Kim's love but all his efforts have failed. He has since moved on from doing that and is now in a relationship with Uncut Gems actress Julia Fox. However, despite this, Kanye continues to throw shots at Kim, who maintains her silence nonetheless. Sources have revealed how much the mother of four wants her divorce from Kanye to be finalized and at this rate, she will no doubt be praying it comes sooner.
