The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Kang the Conqueror is arriving in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and audiences are getting their first glimpse at the iconic villain. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Kang made his Marvel Comics debut in 1964's The Avengers No. 8 and has been a major antagonist for both the Avengers and Fantastic Four throughout the years. Born as Nathaniel Richards, Kang was a relative of Fantastic Four leader Reed Richards from the future who develops time-traveling abilities and dons armor granting him enhanced strength and the ability to control various technology.

Jonathan Majors made his pseudo-MCU debut as Kang in Loki season 1's finale, playing an alternate version of the character known as He Who Remains who created the Time Variance Authority in the hopes of preventing a multiversal war. Prior to the Disney+ series, Majors had been cast as the MCU's Kang the Conqueror for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania to serve as the film's primary antagonist for the film. Filming on the Paul Rudd threequel wrapped this past November and now audiences are getting their first glimpse at the villain's debut.

Just over a year after making his onscreen debut, Marvel Studios have revealed the first look at the MCU's Kang the Conqueror for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania at San Diego Comic-Con. The first look comes courtesy of a poster for the film released at San Diego Comic-Con, showing off the comics-accurate design for Majors' upcoming villain. Check out the exciting first look below:

Anticipation has been high for Kang the Conqueror's MCU debut following Majors' appearance as He Who Remains in Loki season 1, delivering a humorous and powerful performance as the TVA creator and scoring widespread acclaim. The show's finale did hint at his MCU design as Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief found himself in an alternate universe, where statues of the Time-Keepers had been replaced by statues of a Kang variant, who looked much closer to the comics than He Who Remains. The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania poster further confirms Kang's comics-accurate design for the MCU threequel, sure to raise further excitement for the villain's appearance.

In addition to Kang's comics-accurate design, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania poster also offers the first look at Cassie Lang's hero costume in the MCU film. With the character in the comics having held two different hero mantles and designs, many have wondered how the titular hero's daughter, now played by Freaky star Kathryn Newton, would make her transition to a hero within the MCU, and the poster points towards her becoming Stinger for the franchise, donning the purple-hued costume of the comics, albeit with a more simplified helmet akin to her father's. With the first poster now shown at the event, audiences will have to keep their eyes peeled for potential Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania footage screened at SDCC.
