While Justified might not have been one of the highest-rated shows on television, those who have seen it know that it was one of the best crime shows in the last decade. The show followed U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) serving in Kentucky and dealing with the local criminals, including his childhood friend Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins).
Part of show's charm was its amazing cast led by Olyphant and Goggins. The series also featured some notable actors in recurring roles, such as Kaitlyn Dever and Sam Elliott. Amy Smart
Amy Smart is an endlessly charming actor who has appeared in a wide variety of notable films over the years. She got her start with teen movies like Varsity Blues and Road Trip before moving on to other popular projects like Crank and The Butterfly Effect.
Smart has a season-long guest-starring role in the fifth season of Justified. She played Allison, a social worker assigned to a case involving the youngest member of the nefarious Crowe family. She also became a brief love interest for Raylan.
Stephen Tobolowsky
Stephen Tobolowsky is one of those character actors who has been in so many projects spanning every genre. Though you might not remember his name right away, his face is instantly recognizable. He has appeared on shows like Deadwood and Silicon Valley as well as countless movies, including Memento and, most famously, Groundhog Day.
Tobolowsky often plays characters who are an annoyance to the protagonist, and he continued this trend in Justified. In Season 3, he appeared as FBI Agent Jerry Barkley, an entitled government man investigating Raylan for corruption. He later reappeared in Season 4 revealing he was corrupt himself.
Joseph Mazzello
Joseph Mazzello has been acting since he was a young child, and his most famous role to date came about at a young age. Mazzello played Tim in Steven Spielberg's classic, Jurassic Park. Mazzello appeared in the fourth season of Justified as Billy St. Cyr. Billy was a passionate preacher whose new church proves to be a problem for Boyd and his business.
Eric Roberts
Eric Roberts is a talented and intense actor who has appeared in a wide range of projects over the years. He first broke out with roles in Runaway Train and The Pope of Greenwich Village. Though he has been in smaller direct-to-video films as of late, he has had memorable roles in The Dark Knight and The Expendables.
Roberts lent his own tough-guy persona to Season 5 of Justified. He guest-starred in one episode as Agent Miller, a Memphis DEA officer who Raylan partners with to solve a case.
Alan Tudyk
Alan Tudyk has been a part of a number of beloved films and television shows. His most notable role was Wash in Joss Whedon's short-lived but much-loved Firefly. Tudyk has also lent his voice to a number of Disney projects and played the scene-stealing droid K-2SO in Rogue One.
Though credited as Wray Nerely, there's no mistaking Tudyk in the role of Elias Marcos in Justified's fifth season. Marcos is a hitman working for the Detroit mob who crosses paths with our heroes. Though a small part, it's fun seeing Tudyk as an intimidating villain.
David Koechner
David Koechner is one of the most reliable comedic actors around, having given countless stellar performances in film and television over the years. He of course played the highly inappropriate sports broadcaster, Champ Kind, in Anchorman. On television, he is best known as the obnoxious Todd Packer on The Office.
In Justified's fifth season, Koechner gets to step outside the funnyman roles to play a more grounded character. He plays a Miami Marshal who teams with Raylan for a case. and he also reappears in the show's finale as Raylan's new partner.
Michael Ironside
Michael Ironside is an actor who commands the screen with his intimidating presence. He was known in the '80s for his villain roles in Scanners and Total Recall. He has also played some great authoritarian characters like in Top Gun and Starship Troopers.
Ironside put those skills to good use in Justified where he appeared as another heavy in Season 3. Ironside plays a Detroit mobster henchman who is sent to clean up a mess involving Raylan. It's a role that proves how effortless Ironside is with these tough-guy characters.
Dave Foley
Dave Foley is a Canadian icon and all-around funnyman who got his start on the sketch comedy show Kids in the Hall. Foley also starred in the acclaimed '90s sitcom NewsRadio and provided the voice of the lead character in Pixar's A Bug's Life.
Foley stuck to his Canadian roots when appearing in the show's fifth season. He plays against his nice guy persona in a fun role as a Canadian gangster who goes into business with Boyd. It's a brief but dyanamic role for Foley.
Tony Hale
Even before bringing the popular Toy Story 4 character of Forky to life, Tony Hale has had a pretty impressive career. He has a talent for finding some of the best shows on television as he went from playing the hilarious Buster Bluth on Arrested Development to playing the equally hilarious Gary Walsh on Veep.
Hale appeared in the very first season of Justified as David Mortimer, an art dealer who gets mixed up in a murder plot. Though slightly more serious than his other famous roles, Hale still gets to embrace that neurotic energy he does so well.
Chadwick Boseman
It's exciting to look back on a show like Justified and see a superstar like Chadwick Boseman popping up in a small role. Boseman had his rise to fame with acclaimed roles in 42 and Get On Up before joining the MCU as T'Challa, aka Black Panther, one of the most exciting new heroes in their cinematic universe.
Years before his superhero success, Boseman appear in Season 2 as Flex, a drug dealer with dreams of being a magician. The role is the perfect example of the show's great sense of humor while also letting Boseman show off his funny side.
