The latest look at Justice League from Zack Snyder showcases a new Amazonian warrior from the film. In just a few more months, fans will finally see the characters teased in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice join forces with Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman to form the Justice League. So far, every DC Extended Universe movie has performed well at the box office, with Wonder Woman breaking $800 million this year.As such, questions about quality aside, there's no doubt that Justice League will be a money maker too.
Justice League aims to build on the commercial success and goodwill generated by Wonder Woman, giving the DCEU its biggest hit yet in the process. Marketing for the movie has been continuing along for months now, including multiple Justice League posters and plenty of behind-the-scenes images, along with a couple of theatrical trailers. Now Snyder has added yet another photo to the growing collection of images from Justice League.
The latest look at Justice League comes from Snyder's Vero account (via Reddit). In the post, the director shared a photo by Clay Enos of Kristine Cabanban in Amazonian armor:
This Amazon photo follows on the heels of Snyder posting a new Aquaman image, showing that he remains involved as ever with the project, even after stepping down from the film's reshoots. This isn't surprising given how much time and energy he has already put into the movie, but it will still likely encourage fans of his work. Meanwhile, the inclusion of Cabanban is an interesting little Easter egg for DCEU fans.
A model who frequently collaborates with Snyder's frequent still photographer Clay Enos, Cabanban had a tiny role in Batman v Superman as 'Hostage Girl'. While her previous appearance might seem to suggest the woman from last year's film was a descendent of the Amazons, it's actually a common practice for certain extras to be given multiple roles in shared universe. Marvel have employed a similar move, with actors such as Alfre Woodard and Enver Gjokaj playing two separate roles in the MCU.
Speaking of special appearances in Justice League: rumors continue to circulate that a Green Lantern will appear in the film, be it Hal Jordan or someone else wielding a Lantern ring. Considering how much future Justice League members made cameos in Batman V Superman, it's not out of the question that this will happen, either.
