The newest trailer for Zack Snyder's Justice League reveals more looks at Darkseid and Superman. Ever since the theatrical cut of Justice League debuted three years ago, fans have been clamoring for director Zack Snyder's original version of the film. As Snyder departed the project midway through production, reshoots director Joss Whedon changed much of Snyder's plans. After years of campaigning, fans got their wish earlier this year when Snyder confirmed his Justice League will debut on HBO Max in 2021.

For years, Snyder has teased his cut of Justice League with various images and story details, but he was unable to share any footage for a long time. As a result, fans were eager to see the first trailer for the famed Snyder Cut, which was released at DC FanDome in August. That trailer offered a very different look and tone than the Justice League that was released in theaters years before. While the first trailer ended up being removed from YouTube over a music rights issue, Snyder promised a new look at the film would be released on Justice League's three-year anniversary.

Now that look has been revealed. Snyder debuted the newest Justice League trailer on his Twitter account Tuesday morning. While it remains largely similar to what was released at DC FanDome, there's still new footage to be found. Check it out down below.

Fans will be pleased to hear Snyder's original music choice, "Hallelujah", remains intact with this version. Indeed, much of the above footage is the same as what came before, but it's hard to deny that it's an effective trailer. It shows just how different this Justice League will be from the theatrical cut, which further cements just how much was changed when Whedon took over. The added looks at Darkseid and Superman highlight how they were some of the theatrical cut's biggest missed opportunities. Darkseid was removed entirely, and Superman's arc largely disappointed. In addition to Cyborg, the Justice League Snyder Cut provides an opportunity to right past wrongs when it comes to these characters.

One thing this trailer does not offer, however, is a release date for Justice League. The end merely says "2021," something fans have known since the original announcement. There were once reports that HBO Max was aiming for early-to-mid-2o21, but nothing has been confirmed just yet. With Snyder working on reshoots for his cut, there's a chance Justice League could get pushed to later in the year. Nevertheless, fans can trust Snyder to update them as soon as there's something to share, and in the meantime, they can pore over the above trailer to keep their enthusiasm high.
