Fans organize a fun Justice League Synder Cut scavenger egg hunt at San Diego Comic-Con. Warner Bros. and DC may be skipping a Hall H panel, which means that the public won't be treated to a presentation for the studio's upcoming DC films such as Joker and Wonder Woman 1984, but that doesn't mean that followers won't have anything to do during the event. On top of participating in other panels, a hunt for prizes are hidden in the vicinity of the gathering is also open for those who want to participate.
It's been a couple of years since director Zack Snyder made his appearance at Comic-Con. And while he's no longer attached to the DCEU with Justice League getting a significant overhaul from director Joss Whedon, Snyder's fans remain persistent about the campaign to release the so-called Snyder Cut - the original cut of the movie with Junkie XL's (the initial composer before Danny Elfman stepped in) intended musical score. Outside of social media, they're also organizing events in the name of the filmmaker and the causes dear to him including a massively successful fundraiser for suicide prevention.
However, their newest project is primarily for the enjoyment of fans. A fan with the Twitter handle @TheNerdQueens reveals that they put together a scavenger hunt for fans at San Diego Comic-Con. Those who will be joining have a lot of prizes and DC merchandise waiting for them - some of which she teased in her official social media account. Check them out below:
The #SnyderHunt begins! Find small prizes hidden around the Gaslamp and surrounding area. This buddle of awesome can be found at an excellent restaurant. Goodluck! #SDCC2019 #SDCC #ReleaseTheSnyderCut pic.twitter.com/CKlfGXtzWh— NQ @ SDCC #SnyderHunt (@TheNerdQueens) July 17, 2019
Our biggest prizes are each a bag with an I♥️ZS shirt from last year’s debut of the Movement at Comic Con, a copy of BVS on Bluray with some keychains and buttons. #snyderhunt #sdcc #releasethesnydercut pic.twitter.com/retpK3X8qU— NQ @ SDCC #SnyderHunt (@TheNerdQueens) July 15, 2019
No official Comic-Con panel or event is dedicated to Justice League, let alone its much-clamored Snyder Cut, but billboards and various other advertisements can be seen peppered throughout the venue. These are all fan-organized, still part of the campaign for the roll out of the director's cut of the Warner Bros. superhero ensemble flick. Over $26,000 dollars has been raised by Snyder Cut fans for this purpose, proving that they're committed to this cause. Obviously, there's no guarantee that this will get them what they're campaigning for, but it's a big step towards garnering more attention to their petition. It also sends a strong message to the studio that they're willing to do whatever it takes for this to happen.
The scavenger hunt may be small compared to the overall presence of Justice League Release the Snyder Cut campaign in Comic-Con. However, this is a great way for fans to mingle with each other - especially those who have the same sentiments with regard to this particular cause. Networking and actually getting to know each other is an effective way to broaden their reach, something that could help them push through with this movement.
