Zack Snyder is currently working on a new trailer for the Snyder Cut of Justice League. The nearly three-year fan campaign for Snyder's true vision for Justice League to be released paid off earlier in 2020. Snyder confirmed that the fabled Snyder Cut - now known as Zack Snyder's Justice League - will be released on HBO Max in 2021. Instead of debuting as a four-plus hour movie, his edit will first launch as a four-part mini-series.
Although Snyder treated fans to plenty of images from the Snyder Cut before it was officially announced, it wasn't until a few months after the confirmation that new footage was shown. The first Justice League Snyder Cut trailer launched at DC FanDome. After briefly being taken down, a slightly new edit of the trailer went live on the three-year anniversary of Justice League's theatrical release. One trailer with two edits is not enough for most fans, though. With the marketing campaign sure to heat up in the coming weeks, Snyder has confirmed he's working on a new trailer.
In the comments of one of his latest posts on Vero (via Turki), a fan asked Snyder for an update on the status of trailer #2 for Justice League. Snyder didn't go as far as to confirm when the new trailer will arrive, but he did state that he's working on it right now. The director could announce the official release date for the new trailer at any time.
Snyder's confirmation that another Justice League trailer is in the works has already led fans to wonder when it will arrive. Snyder recently confirmed that the Snyder Cut will be released in March 2021, but it is unclear if the second trailer will be the last one. If it is planned to be the final piece of marketing, then the new trailer might not arrive for another month or two. However, with Wonder Woman 1984 launching on HBO Max in less than a week, a trailer for the Snyder Cut could further drive attention to the streaming service.
Whenever the new Justice League trailer does arrive, it will be fascinating to see what is included. Snyder wrapped the short reshoots for Justice League recently, which included filming new scenes with Jared Leto's Joker and Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke. Showing either of them in the trailer would certainly get fans talking and provide some clues for how they'll appear in it. The first trailer didn't shy away from showing major events - like Silas Stone's death - so there's no telling what kind of moments and surprises Snyder could include in the next Justice League trailer. Perhaps Batman's f-bomb will even be included.
