Zack Snyder releases the Justice League Snyder Cut trailer during DC FanDome. The director was originally set to direct Justice League, but when he exited the film before it was done, Warner Bros. brought in Joss Whedon, who directed reshoots and finalized the theatrical cut. Much was changed from Snyder's original vision - so much so that loyal fans of the filmmaker launched a campaign for the studio to release the Snyder Cut. That campaign was ultimately successful and Snyder himself announced the Justice League Snyder cut will release on HBO Max in 2021.

Since it was confirmed, Snyder has revealed teases of what's to come in his version of the movie. Although the director had kept up a steady stream of stills and tidbits of information about his cut in the years since Justice League hit theaters, his teases in recent months have been more concrete - and more substantial. Snyder unveiled a first look image of Darkseid in his movie, as well as a tease of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) learning about the villain. In recent days, Snyder has dropped multiple teasers - both image and video - for the full-length trailer. These were the first bits of footage revealed since the Justice League Snyder Cut clip of Superman (Henry Cavill) in his black suit that debuted at Justice Con last month. Now the trailer is finally here.

During the project's panel at DC FanDome, Snyder unveiled the Justice League Snyder Cut trailer, which can be seen below. The Justice League Snyder Cut trailer features plenty of moments that Snyder has teased over the years but weren't in the theatrical cut, including Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) saving Iris West (Kiersey Clemons) as well as Victor Stone's (Ray Fisher) pre-Cyborg football career and the death of his father Silas (Joe Morton). There's also some footage that was used in the Justice League trailers going back all the way to the original San Diego Comic-Con preview, like Aquaman (Jason Momoa) drinking on land. However, there's also plenty of new footage, including better looks at Darkseid, Superman wearing his post-resurrection black suit and the League's battles against Steppenwolf and the Parademons.

Based on this trailer alone, it's already clear the Justice League Snyder Cut will be majorly different to the theatrical cut. While many suspected as much, this trailer confirms there's a ton of footage Snyder will be adding in for his cut of the film. The director previously confirmed at Justice Con that the Justice League Snyder Cut will use zero Whedon footage from the reshoots, so this version of the film will only use scenes directed by Snyder himself. Whether that will make the the Justice League Snyder Cut the definitive version of the movie remains to be seen, but it's certainly the closest viewers will get to seeing the director's original vision for this superhero movie.

And now with the Justice League Snyder Cut trailer released, we have our best look at what we can expect from the project. It certainly looks more cohesive than the theatrical Justice League, which is sure to make it a better viewing experience. That said, whether the project delivers exactly what fans have been demanding for years, whether it lives up to that much hype, remains to be seen until the Justice League Snyder Cut hits HBO Max next year.
