A new image from the Snyder Cut of Justice League celebrates Batman Day by offering a close up look at Ben Affleck's Batman. Affleck joined the DC Extended Universe to play an older version of Batman for director Zack Snyder several years ago. His debut came in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and he then had a cameo in Suicide Squad before leading Justice League in 2017. However, the theatrical version of Justice League was changed after Snyder walked away following a family tragedy. After the film's release, a movement started to release his cut of Justice League.

Even though many doubted that it would ever be finished and released, the Snyder Cut of Justice League is officially happening in 2021. It will be released exclusively on HBO Max as a four-part miniseries that will be quite different from the movie audiences saw. Snyder already revealed plenty of information about the new story during the nearly three year journey to get the Snyder Cut announced. But, it was with the first Snyder Cut trailer that the general public got a better understanding of what Snyder's version of Justice League will look like.

Now, another new look at the Snyder Cut of Justice League has arrived in honor of Batman Day. The official Director's Cut of Justice League Twitter account posted a close up image of Ben Affleck in the Batman suit to celebrate. The context of when in Justice League this image takes place isn't clear, especially since it has been cropped in a different aspect ratio than Snyder has used to tease the new cut.

This isn't the first new image of Ben Affleck's Batman to arrive in honor of Batman Day 2020. Snyder already shared a new shot of Affleck in the armored suit from Batman v Superman, so this new image from the Snyder Cut gives fans a double-dose of Batfleck for Batman Day. Over the last few years, Snyder has made a habit of sharing photos of Affleck's Batman as part of the holiday and repeatedly called him the best Batman.

The Snyder Cut of Justice League will offer fans plenty of new Batfleck content, but it won't be the last time that he is seen. The surprising news of Affleck returning as Batman for The Flash guarantees that he will play the Dark Knight at least one more time. By the time the next Batman Day comes around, the Snyder Cut of Justice League should be released, but perhaps an image of him from The Flash will be released next year instead.
