Warning! Spoilers ahead for Justice League #63

The latest issue of DC Comics' Justice League may have hinted at a superhero name for Naomi McDuffie, the League's newest member. After a major battle on Naomi's ravaged homeworld with the powerful villain Zumbado, no one on the League was prepared, motivating a quick retreat to plan and prepare for a future confrontation. Additionally, the League also made decisions to add to their ranks by officially inviting not only Naomi but Black Adam as well (who wants to prove that he can do better). However, Aquaman may have just provided Naomi with a potential superhero name, seeing as how she doesn't currently have one.

In recent issues of Justice League from writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist David Marquez, the League had been responding to consistent attacks all over the globe by a new interdimensional villain known as Brutus. Because he carried the same energy signature as the new hero Naomi, the League brought her to the Hall of Justice as well as Black Adam, who became involved when Brutus attacked his nation of Khandaq. Furthermore, Superman has become aware of Adam's recent acts of heroism, and as such he wanted to give the ruler a chance. Soon, the League decides to be proactive and follow Brutus back to his own homeworld, which was also Naomi's before her parents sent her away to the primary Earth to protect her from Zumbado.

However, after a struggle of a battle with Brutus due to the world's odd effects on the League's powers, Zumbado himself soon arrived, and a call for a strategic retreat back to the League's own world was made. However, the opposite effect was happening for Naomi, and her powers flared up in the presence of the being who killed her parents. Having the classification as a "mega-power" in the multiverse, she was ready to fight Zumbado to the death despite her inexperience. That being said, her flaring powers actually caused her to pass out only to wake up in the Hall of Justice having been rescued by the League. While Naomi wanted to go back right away, the League promises that they'll all go once they know more and can prepare better. In the meantime, they officially invite her to join their ranks while also offering to help train her. It's also where Aquaman potentially gives Naomi a potential superhero name:

While "Powerhouse" could just be a nickname given to her by Arthur Curry, it would absolutely fit based on her abilities as a uniquely mega-powered hero. Furthermore, Naomi is a fairly new hero herself, having been created by Brian Michael Bendis back in 2019. As such, it would make a lot of sense to see him creating an official superhero alias for Naomi now that she's a member of the Justice League.

However, nothing official has been confirmed as of yet, and it's entirely possible that Naomi could elect to just keep her own name. She could even end up choosing an entirely different codename for herself down the line. That being said, Powerhouse does have a pretty nice ring to it all things considered. In any case, DC fans will just have to wait and see what's in store for Naomi McDuffie as Justice League continues.
