A lot of hard work goes into making any movie, but big-budget installments in comic book mega-franchises are arguably the toughest to make. Cast and crew work tirelessly for weeks (often 18 or more hours a day) setting up stunts and creating scenes so that the movie will have exactly the right shot it needs to be great. When these massive endeavours are over, they typically throw a party to celebrate and in this case, release a video for fans can join in on the fun.
To celebrate the wrapping of filming the Justice League in the United Kingdom, director Zack Snyder released a nearly 90-second video (watch it above). In it are clips from scenes of Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) searching for Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) at an Icelandic fishing village; a brief glimpse inside Star Labs where Cyborg (Ray Fisher) was created; another look at the Bat Signal Snyder shared a couple weeks ago; five members of the newly formed Justice League entering the Bat Cave; another look at Affleck's new tactical Bat suit sans helmet in the team's ship, The Flying Fox; and the setup of a battle sequence featuring Aquaman with his Trident, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and The Flash (Ezra Miller).
Included in this short video are plenty of action stunt sequences that show plenty of people being tossed into walls (The Flash included), Batman leaping from atop gargoyles, some stuntwomen catching a foam wall (presumably standing in for Amazonians warriors) and most importantly, the first look at Superman (Henry Cavill) on set - confirming information about his return which was made public during a set visit earlier this summer. We also get to see a partial workout of Ray Fisher and Jason Mamoa (both beefed up significantly to portray their respective characters - read about their incredible workouts HERE).
The real "hero shot" of this mashup comes from the scene of the five heroes entering the Bat Cave via elevator, where their new team vehicle is being stored. Obviously special effects aren't included in the shot (as evident by Cyborg's missing armor), but you can tell just from how the shot is prepared, it could be the highlight of that particular scene. We're assuming there will be many of those types of scenes, such as Aquaman walking through a tremendous wave from from the footage released during San Diego Comic Con this summer.
When you look a little harder at the battle sequences involving Aquaman, Wonder Woman and The Flash, there are several stuntmen in green suits all around - we're assuming will be Parademons (the "flying monkeys" from Batman's dreams in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice). While the Parademons are traditionally the minions of Darkseid, we already know that his uncle, Steppenwolf, is the main villain of this Justice League movie - but clearly these guys will be causing all sorts of havoc for the citizens and heroes of Metropolis and Gotham.
