Director Zack Snyder says there's an epilogue chapter, in addition to the six that were already revealed, for his cut of Justice League, and it has an intriguing title. Zack Snyder's Justice League will finally be released next week, on Thursday, March 18, on HBO Max. The movie will be very different from what was seen in theaters, including the fact that it will be split up into chapters. All six chapter titles were revealed last week, starting with Chapter 1, "Don't count on it, Batman" up to Chapter 6, "Something Darker."

The chapters serve a dual purpose. Firstly, they split the story up into obvious segments, but they will also allow audiences to split their viewing of Zack Snyder's Justice League into more easily digestible sections if they want. The movie is four hours long, and for some it may be easier to treat it like a TV series, watching in smaller bites. The release was in fact originally meant to be as a four-part TV show, but HBO Max decided to release it as a single movie instead, keeping it one cohesive tale. But now Snyder has revealed there are actually seven chapters, if you include his epilogue.

Speaking to Beyond the Trailer, Snyder says that after Chapter 6 is a "big epilogue" which has its own title and is clearly very much the ending to this part of his Justice Leaguex. The final chapter, or epilogue, is titled "A Father Twice Over," and will run for about 20 to 25 minutes before the credits roll. Snyder says the title wasn't released with the other six chapter titles, but doesn't mention why. You can read his full comments on the epilogue below:

There is an epilogue that's called "A Father Twice Over" that, well I guess wasn't released. The last part is called "Father Twice Over" and that's, you know, takes you to the end of the movie. That's the big epilogue ... from there to the very end is 25 minutes, 20 minutes, plus the credits. There's actually seven parts, yes.

Dr. Silas Stone's death in Zack Snyder's Justice League

The reference to a "father" is incredibly intriguing. The immediate connection would be to Silas Stone, father of Victor, who helps rebuild him as Cyborg, which would technically making him a father twice over. But, given that Silas was shown to die in a teaser for Zack Snyder's Justice League, this might not be the case, unless he is resurrected as part of the time travel plot which seems certain to take place. It's still a possibility, though, given Victor/Cyborg is the emotional heart of Snyder' movie.

But if not Silas, who, then, could the father be? As the chapter is an epilogue, the assumption is this takes place after the main plot and conflict have been resolved, meaning it could refer to any character, really, or perhaps even a new one who hasn't been revealed yet. Audiences will be able to find out who the father is soon, though, with Zack Snyder's Justice League dropping on HBO Max next week.
