Zack Snyder's Justice League star Harry Lennix calls on DC fans to campaign for a movie centered on Martian Manhunter. After years of questions about whether it was real, the Snyder Cut of Justice League is finally fast approaching. Director Zack Snyder's long-awaited DC film will debut on HBO Max next month, finally giving fans the Justice League they have always wanted to see. For his part, Snyder has continued to tease the movie's arrival by sharing images, such as yesterday's peek at Jared Leto's Joker. The Suicide Squad villain was a surprising addition to the Snyder Cut, joining the film during last year's reshoots.

In order to properly complete his Justice League, Snyder shot some additional footage last year. As most fans know, the theatrical cut of Justice League (which had been overseen by Joss Whedon) is drastically different from Snyder's, so much of what happens within the latter remains a mystery. However, Snyder has revealed some details, such as new characters who will be included. This includes, beyond Leto's Joker, Martian Manhunter (Lennix), who appeared in previous DCEU films as General Calvin Swanwick.

Lennix recently spoke to ComicBook.com about his upcoming role in Justice League, and talk briefly shifted to the future. He expressed interest in the idea of a Martian Manhunter solo film, something that fans would no doubt support. In fact, Lennix already wants their help. With a laugh, Lennix said, "All I can say is that full justice won't be done until there's a Martian Manhunter movie. Listen up, fans! They made the Justice League happen, so..." He's referring to how fan campaigns ultimately led Warner Bros. to allow for the release of the Snyder Cut.

Henry Lennix, Martian Manhunter, and Zack Snyder

Regardless of how much screen time Martian Manhunter has in Justice League, there's little question that there will still be a lot left to explore with his character. Lennix's previous DCEU appearances did little to dive into his extraterrestrial alter ego. A Martian Manhunter film would be an excellent way to bring him into the spotlight. Unfortunately, though Snyder's Justice League will undoubtedly leave space for potential sequels and spin-offs, there aren't any official plans at the moment for more within the director's DCEU.

Still, stranger things have happened. Lennix made a fair point when he mentioned fans making the Snyder Cut happen; if there's enough interest in a Martian Manhunter movie, perhaps Warner Bros. will choose to put one into development. It might depend on the final reactions to the Snyder Cut. In releasing Justice League on HBO Max as a four-hour movie, it's going to be hard to gauge just how successful it is, but if Warner Bros. is pleased with the results, there could be more projects from Snyder's DCEU on the way. Only time will tell.
