Lex Luthor Unlocks The Biggest Secret in DC History

Lex Luthor has had too many evil plans to count, but he's never been as dangerous as he is in the current DC Comics. This time, he's threatening more than the Justice League, but all life in the universe.

Even for an eccentric, maniacal, super-genius billionaire, it sets a new level, but that's what happens when the heroes and villains learn that the DC Comics Universe is dying. And in our exclusive preview of Justice League #5, fans get to see how the Metropolis megalomaniac forged an alliance with Sinestro - after harnessing the power to cross the universe in a blink.

Ans that's just the beginning of what the new, "enlightened" Lex is capable of.

For fans who have slept on DC's Justice League relaunch, it will be shocking to see just how vulnerable the group truly is. By the fifth issue, they've been divided to try to tackle the mysterious forces now threatening to tear reality itself apart. And for once, it seems that Lex Luthor is actually opposing them in the name of truth. A truth he glimpsed thanks to the intervention of a still-unseen figure, who showed Lex the secret upon which the DC Universe was built.

Now, that truth hasn't been revealed to the reader yet either (nor has the person who clued Lex into it in the first place). But it was all Lex needed to unite a new Legion of Doom to ensure that the heroes fail in denying what's coming. Thanks to the flashback which opens Issue #5, readers can see how Lex recruited the worst of the worst... armed with nothing but a secret.

Take a look at the preview pages below:

The preview pages will only make the actual secret more tantalizing, even without seeing how Lex continues his pitch. In his sight, it makes sense that he would seek Sinestro out first. As a villain who has always felt he was enforcing an unpleasant truth upon the universe, there's nobody better to approach. But the truth wielded like a weapon by Lex Luthor trumps even Sinestro's. And since this is a mysterious, sinister series we're talking about, we can safely assume that the rest of the issue will focus on the greatest villain of DC's Green Lanterns. Especially now that Sinestro has assembled the biggest Lantern Corps in history.
