Spoilers for Batman #128 by DC Comics

The Justice League's heroes are having their greatest weaknesses exploited like never before, as the villain Failsafe has a counter to each member's powers, weapons, and abilities. In Batman #128 by DC Comics, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, and Green Lantern are among the Justice League heroes trying to stop Failsafe from killing Batman and Superman. However, when they fight the android villain, they quickly discover it was built to combat and exploit their most significant weaknesses.

DC Comics recently revealed Failsafe, a villain designed by Batman's Zur-En-Arrh persona to take down the Justice League if needed. However, Failsafe was unexpectedly unleashed after Penguin framed Batman for murder, leading to The Dark Knight being nearly killed by the villain he helped create. Superman has joined the fight against Failsafe but quickly finds out the android is loaded with weapons capable of taking him out, too. With their backs against the wall, the Justice League are arriving to save their fellow heroes - but soon find out Failsafe has a plan for all their greatest weaknesses.

In Batman #128 by Chip Zdarsky, Jorge Jimenez, Tomeu Morey, and Clayton Cowles from DC Comics, the Justice League arrive at Wayne Manor after Superman and Batman are nearly killed. But, as they buy Robin enough time to take an injured Superman and Batman to safety, Failsafe picks off the Justice League one-by-one by exploiting their greatest weaknesses and powers. He magnetizes Hawkgirls Nth Metal wings, unleashes a massive fire against Martian Manhunter, throws a containment device that silences Black Canary's voice, and physically engages with Nightwing and Green Arrow.

Failsafe Goes After Gotham City After Taking Out The Justice League

Failsafe Takes Out The Justice League DC Comics

Failsafe shows how terrifying its capabilities are, as it overtakes Gotham after Bruce Wayne goes missing and is put in a temporary healing coma by Aquaman. Two weeks after the defeat of the Justice League, Batman learns Gotham has fallen to Failsafe, as he searches for The Dark Knight with robotic minions patrolling the streets while some of the hero's greatest allies have been captured.

Failsafe has proven to be a much different foe than the Justice League has ever faced before. In his quest to take down Batman, it defeated Superman and ended up exploiting the biggest weaknesses of the Justice League and taking over Gotham City. Batman will need all the help he can get to stop Failsafe, but even with Superman and other members of the Justice League by his side, there's no guarantee they comes out victorious. Batman #128 by DC Comics is in stores now.
