Warning! Spoilers for Dark Crisis #1 by DC Comics and related tie-in titles

The Justice League might not be dead after all, as a new comic teases their actual whereabouts, where each hero is somehow alive. In a new solicit for Worlds Without A Justice League: Wonder Woman #1, it's revealed that the when the fallen heroes, from Batman, to Wonder Woman, to Superman, were 'killed," they were actually transferred to dream-like realities specifically constructed for them as a trap by Pariah.

Pariah shockingly defeated the Justice League in a battle for the Multiverse, leaving DC's greatest heroes seemingly killed. After their deaths, the DC Universe has continued on and mourned the loss of Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and more A-list heroes. But with Pariah still capable of attacking at any moment, Superman assembled a new Justice League replacement team that's rough around the edges. But, with the new Justice League coming together, DC revealed its greatest heroes are still alive, as their deaths might have been exaggerated.

The fate of the Justice League and where they went after their 'deaths' was revealed in a new tease for Worlds Without A Justice League: Wonder Woman #1 by Tini Howard and Leila Del Duca. In the solicit, it's revealed Pariah is using the Justice League's heroes, seemingly still alive in some form, to power up his weapons of war, trapping them in worlds "suited to their every dream and desire." As a result, the planets and realities will "slowly eat away at their respective inhabitants."

Somehow, Pariah is using the Justice League heroes to power up his army of darkness, keeping them trapped in dream-like realities to siphon energy from them as fuel for his deadliest weapons. It might seem like a surprising fate for the heroes, but it was actually teased all the way back in Justice League Incarnate, as Barry Allen's Flash ended up in a similar reality, as his fellow heroes questioned whether he was still dead or alive.

Are the Justice League heroes dead? The answer is unclear as they've been erased from their reality. But, their physical forms have somehow been transferred to separate worlds created by Pariah, where the villain is using the hero's energy for his most dangerous weapons as he tries to take over the Multiverse. That might be a fate worse than death for the heroes, as they unknowingly fuel Pariah's attack on their reality. Readers will learn more about the Justice League and their true whereabouts and fate when Dark Crisis and the Worlds Without A Justice League tie-ins by DC Comics continue to come out throughout the summer and into September.
