Justice League is expected to release on Blu-ray and DVD on March 13, 2018. The long-awaited adaptation of DC Comics' mainline superhero team finally came in Zack Snyder's Justice League this past November, a follow-up to his 2016 film, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The film united the world's finest heroes - Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) - in an ultimate showdown with the supervillain Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons.

Justice League marked the fifth entry in Warner Bros.' unofficially titled DC Extended Universe, which began with Snyder's Superman origin movie, Man of Steel, in 2013. While anticipation for the first ever live-action Justice League movie was understandably high, the movie failed to become the critical or commercial success the studio so desperately hoped it would be. At the moment, Justice League has earned $651.1 million at the worldwide box office, and since theaters are dropping the film in preparation for January's releases, it's no longer expected to top Man of Steel's gross. Still, home video sales have been known to tell a different story for movies that don't perform well in theaters - and Justice League just might be one of them.

According to a listing on Best Buy's website, Justice League is expected to release on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. While the news hasn't been explicitly confirmed by the studio, the date doesn't seem to be a placeholder and, therefore, is safe to be taken as confirmation. Furthermore, Best Buy's listing showcased the long-rumored Blu-Ray SteelBook cover art for the film. Take a look:

While Justice League didn't perform as well as Warner Bros. had hoped, that doesn't mean the DCEU is dead (or dying), even though it is being restructured under WB's oversight. The studio still plans on moving forward with the rest of their DC Comics-based cinematic universe. The next movie slated to release is James Wan's Aquaman, which is due out in December of this year and features Momoa reprising his role as Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman. Following Aquaman is David F. Sandberg's Shazam!, starring Asher Angel as Billy Batson and Zachary Levi as Shazam, which is expected to release in April 2019. Then, Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 2, starring Gal Gadot as the eponymous superhero, hits theaters in November 2019.

Aside from the aforementioned three films, Warner Bros. has numerous other projects in various stages of development, including Justice League 2, which is currently being written. However, there's no telling if or when the Justice League sequel will release or who will star in it. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
