A bonus scene not seen in theaters will be included in the upcoming Justice League Blu-ray release. There was so much anticipation leading to the release of Warner Bros. and DC Films project that launched their premiere superhero team on the big screen. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg all come together in an effort battle alien supervillain Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons as they try to take over Earth. Unfortunately, marred by bad publicity and mixed reviews, Justice League was a box office disappointment, earning $655.1 million worldwide - instead of the $1 billion it could have hit.

To say that the process of making Justice League was tumultuous is a gross understatement. Plagued with several script revisions even before principal photography hit the ground running, things only got more complicated from there. Among the slew of setbacks that the film faced, perhaps the biggest one was the director switch just when it was about to commence its mandatory reshoots. Snyder was forced to step down from directing due to a personal tragedy, resulting in Joss Whedon taking the mantle after mainly helping behind-the-scenes with rewrites. The change-up would haunt the production up until today with fans demanding Warner Bros. to release the so-called Snyder cut - basically, all the footage that the filmmaker shot for the film.

While that campaign doesn't look very promising, fans could have the chance to see a sequence from the film not shown in the theatrical cut in Justice League's upcoming Blu-ray. Those who are interested to see it need to particularly look for the Walmart exclusive release, which specifically advertises the inclusion of the additional clip. The giant retailer uploaded some promotional photos on their site featuring the boxed set which has a tag that says “Includes BONUS SCENE not seen in theaters!” along with several character pins all up for pre-order.

Justice League Zack Snyder Cut

With a slew of filmed scenes left in the editing room, a fact we know just based on the footage we've seen in early trailers that did not make the final product, the clip in question could feature anyone and could be about anything in relation to Justice League. Nevertheless, whoever opted to clearly indicate that the Walmart exclusive will include a bonus scene did a clever marketing trick, very well knowing the widespread clamor for the release of the Snyder cut that may or may not exist, depending on who you talk to.

Whatever is in that bonus clip, we presume that a single scene will hardly quench people's thirst for a complete release of the supposed Snyder-cut. If anything, it will only fuel people's drive to hopefully the filmmaker's original cut of Justice League, if fans are able to confirm that it is indeed a Snyder-filmed sequence. Of course, it will be an entirely different conversation if the yet-to-be-revealed footage is shot by Whedon.
