While superhero films sometimes focus on a singular hero, there are others who like to go for riskier projects and bring them all together. It's hard to pull it off because, in a team full of heroes, someone will always most likely end up sidelined. And it doesn't even matter how powerful or intelligent they are, or what special powers they have.

Aquaman has a strange position in the Justice League. His colleagues sometimes make fun of him and so do comic-book readers. However, Aquaman isn't the guy who 'talks to fish.' He can achieve many amazing things even though the Justice League movie didn't always show that. Luckily, the Snyder Cut could change some things about Aquaman.

Should Change: Aquaman Gets His Armor And A Weapon From Vulko

Aquaman Vulko Trident Snyder Cut

The Snyder Cut could, and possibly will change the way Aquaman gets his weapons for the fight. Vulko has trained Arthur for years, and he is also the one who brings him his weapons, the armor, and the iconic trident that Aquaman uses when fighting his enemies. This will also give Willem Dafoe another opportunity to show up in the DCEU, and perhaps give him an even bigger part in the franchise than before.

Should Stay The Same: Aquaman As The Voice Of Reason

Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Atlantis' Council of Kings

One thing that Aquaman has going for him - besides his strength and speed - is his intelligence. More specifically, Aquaman looks at the world as it is - he is far from naive. Someone may even call him a bit cynical or jaded.

That creates a nice contrast to more optimistic superheroes, such as Wonder Woman or The Flash. He is something of a realist as well since Aquaman is the one who is quick to point out that the League is out of their depth and will need help in the fight against Steppenwolf. He was right!

Should Change: More Of Atlantis Appears

Atlantis Armies Stand-Off Aquaman

Atlantis is a beautiful place that is full of life and secrets - some of which are yet to be revealed. It played a big part in Aquaman's solo movie but could also fit in the Snyder Cut. It might be possible that the audiences will see more of Atlantis in the flashback scene, showing the previous fight of Earth's warriors against Steppenwolf. Atlanteans had joined that fight, which could be an opportunity for the audience to learn what Atlantis looked like in the past.

Should Stay The Same: Aquaman Notices Wonder Woman

Aquaman might be primarily linked to Mera when it comes to his romantic relationships, but there are other options. In an alternate universe storyline in the comics, Wonder Woman and Aquaman were an item for a time.

The film briefly acknowledges their shared history when Aquaman, unknowingly bound by Diana's Lasso of Truth, praises her beauty as well as her skills as a warrior.

Should Change: Aquaman Gets More Space

Aquaman Movie

The truth is that Aquaman doesn't have that much space in Justice League. And with a few exceptions, it's hard to remember what exactly does he do in the story. He also doesn't have a clear character development storyline, unlike other superheroes. The film gives a lot of space to better-established heroes, such as Batman or Wonder Woman, and as a result, it puts Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash aside.

Should Stay The Same: Aquaman's Reluctance To Join The League

Aquaman is a bit of a lone wolf. Unlike other superheroes who thrive in teams, he prefers working on his own. He has a problem with authorities and listening to people isn't something he likes to do. So when Bruce Wayne shows up to recruit him, Aquaman is less than enthusiastic at first. That fits right in with his established character and with what the audience knows about him.

Should Change: Aquaman Should Befriend The Team

Even though Aquaman and the remaining Justice League superheroes work together, they're not really friends. Unlike other superheroes, such as Wonder Woman and Batman, or The Flash and Cyborg in the film's finale, Aquaman doesn't seem to have anyone.

In the comics, Aquaman is closer to the Justice League and while they don't always see eye to eye, they support each other. It would be nice if they could build that kind of friendship in the DCEU as well.

Should Stay The Same: Mera Shows Up

Mera

Even before Mera played a bigger part in Aquaman (2018), she briefly showed up in Justice League (2017). Her scene was brief but still important since it cemented the fact that there are many more worlds and superheroes hidden in the DCEU. The Snyder Cut could potentially expand Mera's role in the film, but even if it doesn't, this brief appearance has its purpose too.

Should Change: Aquaman Meets Other Superheroes

DCEU Forgotten Characters General Swanwick Martian Manhunter Batman V Superman

It looks like the Snyder Cut could bring in some more superheroes into the game. One theory talks about the Green Lantern Corps playing a part in the story. There is also evidence that J'onn Jonz/Martian Manhunter and Ryan Choi/Atom will feature in the movie too. It would be good if Aquaman had a scene with any of the newcomers, as his no-nonsense attitude he presents when he meets new people could lead to a funny scene.

Should Stay The Same: Aquaman Doesn't Want People To Know About Him

Jason Momoa Aquaman

By the time Justice League rolls around and Steppenwolf comes causing trouble, Aquaman is already a superhero. He just isn't the king of Atlantis yet.

Unlike Superman, he isn't all that excited about drawing attention to his superhero deeds. If things went according to Aquaman, he would stay in his home and wouldn't probably venture out. Yet, he does it nonetheless which leads to his growth as a character.
