Aquaman is getting the focus all week as the latest promo for Justice League dives into the character's place on the team. After Wonder Woman took the global box office by storm earlier this year and provide DC with their first critical hit since the days of Christopher Nolan, anticipation is high for Justice League. The last time the Trinity joined forces it generated huge profits for Warner Bros, and next month's film will likely top those numbers. The bigger question is whether or not the film will win over fans.

While audiences are fairly familiar with the DC cinematic take on Superman and Wonder Woman, the rest of the team is still a bit of a mystery. Batman got the spotlight last year, but there's still a lot we don't know about the veteran hero. And when it comes to Cyborg, the Flash, and Aquaman, moviegoers have only been given a taste so far. As such, WB and DC are kicking off a new initiative to highlight the members of the League, and first up is Aquaman.

AT&T has a brand-new promo for Justice League that puts the spotlight on Aquaman. Yesterday, Jason Momoa announced the beginning of #AquamanWeek in an effort to familiarize audiences with the new approach to the often maligned ruler of the seven seas. Of course, the new video makes it clear that Aquaman isn't the king yet.

Along with footage of Aquaman's best moments from the trailers so far, Momoa dives into what makes Aquaman distinct from the other heroes. As someone who walks between two worlds, he shares a lot in common with Wonder Woman and also has a bond with Cyborg. Still, his place as the rightful ruler of Atlantis puts him in a class all his own.

Naturally, more of this duality will be explored in the Aquaman solo film. It's clear from set photos and videos that we'll explore more of Arthur Curry's ascension to the throne, but likely some of the groundwork for that narrative will be laid in Justice League.

This latest promo is also part two of a series that AT&T are running with exclusive footage and interviews with the cast. The first dropped earlier this week and featured each of the cast members talking about their roles. As the release of Justice League draws near, expect many more of these character-specific promos to arrive.
