A storyboard depicting the Injustice League from Zack Snyder's unmade Justice League 2 comes to life in a new piece of DC fan art. Earlier this year, Zack Snyder's Justice League arrived on a wave of massive expectations, giving the director what many saw as justice of his own. Snyder has created a grand plan for the DCEU, but after departing Justice League midway through production, saw it drastically changed. Fans fought for the release of the famed Snyder Cut, and the battle was finally won in March. At a whopping 4 hours, Justice League told the story Snyder always planned to, all while setting up the sequels he'd once hoped to make.
Despite fervent fan passion for a continuation to the SnyderVerse, all of the director's future plans so far remain relegated to leaked pieces of concept art and tidbits revealed on social media. Justice League 2 would have continued the apocalyptic Knightmare timeline hinted in the epilogue of the first film. It also would have picked up with a tease from the theatrical Justice League that sees Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) forming the Injustice League. As revealed in a storyboard, Snyder's planned Injustice League would've featured villains from various DCEU solo movies, all of whom had unfinished business with the Justice League 2 heroes.
Thanks to artist datrinti, that storyboard has been fully realized. The piece shared online on Monday reveals the once-planned Justice League 2 group of bad guys, led by Luthor himself. It also featured Captain Cold, Dr. Maru, Black Manta, and Ocean Master. Snyder's ideas also featured The Riddler, but he doesn't factor into this piece. Check it out below.

The Injustice League would've gone after their respective heroes in Justice League 2 and, in some instances, actually come away victorious. This would've paved the way for the devastating Knightmare world, which sees only a small group of heroes led by Batman (Ben Affleck) fighting against Darkseid (Ray Porter) and a brainwashed Superman (Henry Cavill). Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that these plans will ever come to pass. Snyder's lack of involvement with the DCEU aside, characters like Luthor and Dr. Maru aren't expected to return to the DCEU, and Aquaman 2 likely has other plans for Black Manta and Ocean Master.
Still, there are many fans who would like to see Snyder's Justice League 2 and continue to campaign for a restoration of the SnyderVerse to this day. Warner Bros. has yet to change its decision of moving away from Snyder's DCEU, but that doesn't mean the director's supporters are giving up. With so much already planned out, it's a bit hard to believe that there won't be some kind of continuation. For the time being, though, it'll just have to be kept to fan art like the one above.
