Here's one way to skip Just Cause 3's lengthy intro screen. Just Cause started life as an open-world action game for the PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Xbox 360 back in 2006. It threw players into the shoes of Rico Rodriguez, an operative for The Agency tasked with overthrowing the brutal dictator of an island. The game featured an impressive sandbox for players to mess around in, which allowed them to essentially go anywhere or do anything. Sadly, the gameplay still felt unrefined and the missions quickly became repetitive.

Developer Avalance Studios took a second swing and nailed it with 2010's Just Cause 2. The sequel greatly upped the scope and scale of the game's destruction and gave players an exhilarating amount of freedom, in addition to making it easy to maneuver the game's massive open-world. Just Cause 3 arrived in 2015 and the most recent entry was 2018's Just Cause 4, with both sequels chipping away and refining the signature gameplay of the series; so basically, they allowed players to be even more ambitious in their quest to blow things up. Avalanche Studios also brought their talents to 2015's Mad Max which featured another elaborate open-world and fun vehicle combat.

Just Cause 3 was released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and while the game's story was flimsy as always, the gameplay was the most explosive to date. One thing fans of the series didn't love about the sequel is the long intro screen of Rico sitting on a beach when the game starts up. While it was nice to see him relax, it becomes tedious seeing the same image over and over again without being able to skip it.

Thankfully, the good folks over at Just Cause 3 Mods have a simple solution for PC players, allowing them to skip the intro and get into the game much sooner; follow this justcause3mods.com link to see the instructions for their "No Intro" mod. While the long wait for Just Cause 3's intro screen to finish isn't exactly game-breaking, it can feel somewhat interminable and it didn't take players long to seek ways around it.

Using the Just Cause 3 skip intro mod just allows players to drop into the game much faster - with speed being kind of the mantra of the series anyway. Plans are also underway for a Just Cause movie adaptation with Jason Momoa in the lead role and Rampage's Brad Peyton directing, though it's unknown when the movie will start filming.
