Universal may be planning to attach the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom to Star Wars: The Last Jedi this December. In relaunching the Jurassic Park franchise, no one could've anticipated just how big of a hit it would be. Jurassic World crushed expectations to be the biggest domestic opening ever (until Star Wars: The Force Awakens set the bar even higher), and went on become the fourth highest grossing movie of all-time worldwide. This incredible success gave Universal no reason but to get the sequel out as soon as possible.

To make that happen, The Impossible and A Monster Calls director J.A. Bayona was put in charge of the followup. Expectations are clearly high based on the success of the first film, and with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard back to star - not to mention the return of Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm - the excitement is there to see what Fallen Kingdom will hold.

According to a new report, the wait for the first trailer for Fallen Kingdom may not be too far off. While attending the Brand Licensing Europe expo in London, Geek Shirts & Blog is reporting that it was unveiled at the convention that the first trailer will arrive in December and be attached to The Last Jedi in theaters. Since a public announcement has not yet been made and there still being two months between now and the potential launch, things could change so take this with a grain of salt for the time being.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer hits December 13th alongside Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Quite the wait, but I can't wait to see it. Here's also 2 more pics I took. Follow me and stay tuned for more news straight from the Brand Licensing Expo in London. Also, I'll raffle off a nice goodiebag filled with all little treasures I got here. ;) -Melvin #jurassicworld2 #jurassicworldfallenkingdom #jurassicpark #jurassicworld #thelostworld #dinosaur #dinosaurs #dino #dinosaurio #fossil #fossils #kids #letter #恐竜#ダイノソー #dinosaure #dinosauri #dinosaurus #dinosaurier #clevergirl #velociraptor #raptor #raptors A post shared by Geek Shirts & Blog (@dirtees) on

This latest Fallen Kingdom rumor comes weeks after speculation pointed to a trailer launch around Thanksgiving. It is very possible that both of these reports are true and the Fallen Kingdom trailer drops a week or so after Thanksgiving, and then is first shown in theaters with The Last Jedi. Even if the trailer does drop slightly ahead of The Last Jedi, it is the biggest movie of the winter season and it would be surprising for Universal to pass up the chance at getting millions of moviegoers' eyes on the trailer one way or another.

While fans will undoubtedly be craving the return of the dinosaurs and potential teases of new hybrid ones, the trailer will be the first chance the studio has to formally lay out the story. An early plot synopsis pointed to the militarization of dinosaurs, but how the main characters get involved in such a story or why they return to Isla Nublar very much remains a mystery. The sooner a trailer can shed light on what to expect in the sequel, the sooner fans can start to get even more excited for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
