The latest poster for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom sidelines the human characters in favor of dinosaurs, with Blue, the trained and loyal Velociprator, positioned front and center.

In Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World, the Jurassic series picked up again after a 14-year gap following Joe Johnston's Jurassic Park III in 2001. In that time, the on-screen dinosaurs were given a second chance at headlining a brand new dino-focused park. Between ridable baby Triceratops, massive Mosasaurus tanks, and feeding exhibits for the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the new era of dinosaur attractions did its best at erasing the park's troubling past. What's more is that the deadly, near-genius raptors showcased in the original trilogy proved to be semi-tamable this time around, with Chris Pratt's Owen Grady serving as their personal trainer. Now, the only surviving raptor in Grady's team, Blue, will not only show up in the sequel, but is at the forefront of a brand new poster for Fallen Kingdom.

Fandango released a new poster for the movie that puts all of the attention on the dinosaurs, courtesy of Collider. Designed by Jurassic fan Nima Nakhshab and available as a complimentary gift for anyone purchasing Fallen Kingdom tickets through Fandango, the poster features familiar dinosaurs in the franchise like Blue, the T-Rex, and the Mosasaurus that took down the Indominus Rex at the end of the first Jurassic World. It also features a Carnotaurus, Stegosaurus, Stygimoloch, and the new genetically-engineered Indoraptor in the foreground, with an entire stampede of others in the background. The volcano featured in the poster is what triggers the rescue mission storyline from the movie.

The focus on dinosaurs in the poster aligns with director J.A. Bayona stating that Fallen Kingdom will feature more dinosaurs than have ever been featured in the entire franchise. Whether or not most of those dinosaurs will necessarily survive following the volcanic explosion that takes place in the first half of the movie remains to be seen, but the poster is still keeping true to Bayona's promise. It also positions Blue as the "lead dinosaur" in the movie - a role that is traditionally antagonistic prior to Fallen Kingdom.

The raptors in the Jurassic franchise have always been portrayed as incredibly intelligent creatures, but not until Jurassic World were they shown to understand direct human communication. The trailers for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom appear to show Blue siding with the human characters in order to defeat the Indoraptor. However, whether or not Blue will sustain a bond with them after the Indoraptor is defeated is the big mystery.
