Jurassic World: Dominion came out last week, colliding the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchises. The film brought together the legacy characters with the new age characters.

Despite the hype of the film, critics have not reviewed it favorably. However, fans have reviewed the film much more positively, appreciating the new world order that clashes old with new. Throughout the years, fans have grown to love the iconic characters that carry the films, including Owen Grady who was introduced in Jurassic World. This character continues to impress the audience, often having lines that are both impactful and hilarious.

Owen And Blue's Unbreakable Bond

"Hey Girl, Staying Out Of Trouble?"

One of the most iconic duos in the Jurassic World trilogy is Owen Grady's relationship with the velociraptor, Blue. In the first installment, Grady was the main man responsible for training the raptors. However, it was clear that the raptors could only be tamed so much.

While it's clear Grady loves Blue, he is also aware she's a dinosaur capable of killing and destroying. There have been a couple of close calls when he's encountered the raptor in the past, so while it's obvious he likes seeing her, she will always make him nervous.

Owen Talking To Maisie

"Damn Right She Will."

There are some things Jurassic World: Dominion gets right about the dinosaurs, including velociraptors being maternal. While it may seem like they are only interested in surviving, like hunting and fighting for territory, Blue having a young makes her more dangerous.

Grady told others in previous movies that she wouldn't hurt them, but when Maisie Lockwood asks if Blue will hurt them, this is his response. He may care for this dinosaur unlike any others, but now that they are both parents, he understands her drive to protect her baby. Therefore, he knows that the same rules don't apply between Blue and him now that they both have a child they need to protect over anything else.

Owen Talking To Barry About Transporting The Dinosaurs

"Do You Remember How We Used To Get The Raptors In The Truck? You're Up."

In the first Jurassic World movie, Grady and his partner, Barry, trained the raptors and learned how to herd them onto a truck when they were being moved. In the newest film, Grady and Barry are reunited while Grady and Claire are hunting down the people who kidnapped Maisie. In the course of events, the two men end up the target of raptors that have been trained to hunt and kill any target assigned to them using a laser pointer.

This quote is a comedic nudge at the original film but also lightens the tension before the scene breaks into a scramble to survive the raptors' attack.

Owen Sharing His Knowledge And Expertise

"You Put Two Apex Predators In One Valley, Pretty Soon There's Only Going To Be One."

One opinion about Jurassic World: Dominion is that the franchise has now crossed the line into mediocracy when it comes to the dinosaurs. However, that's one of the reasons why this line is so funny. Though he says it seriously, the audience has seen what's happened before when two predators face off in this franchise.

While this line is one of the scenes that makes fans think the franchise has crossed into mediocracy, it's also something iconic the audience comes to expect. It also hints at the final scene in which three apex predators from the valley face-off, which is quite similar to the final scene in Jurassic World.

Owen Gives Some Wise Advice

"Don't Move."

Though a short line, this quote is one of the Jurassic Park references fans loved to see in this mashup of the old and new. Though Grady and Grant say this line at the same time, it is one of the catchphrases Alan Grant's character is known for. It was exciting to see two fan-favorite characters in the franchise share a moment of recognition.

The T-Rex is one of the most iconic species throughout the franchise and was the dominant threat in the original film. While these characters are in a fight for survival, this line directly points to the knowledge these men have on dealing with different dinosaurs.

Owen Remembers The Promise He Made To Blue

"Sorry, Girl. I Promised Your Mom I'd Bring You Home."

Owen raises Blue in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Amidst all of the chaos going on in this film towards the end, Grady still remembers he made a promise to Blue. Owen and Maisie are determined to bring Beta, Blue's baby, home with them before they escape to safety. They risk their lives when they hunt down this tiny but dangerous predator to bring her back to her mother.

Though not funny at a glance, this quote is humorous because Grady may understand that the dinosaurs are dangerous, but he still continues to treat them like an equal that is deserving of respect. After Beta is safely back with Blue, fans wonder how the Jurassic franchise will continue to incorporate this world of cohabitation.

Owen's Nonchalant Response

"Yeah, Why?"

There is conflicting nature to Owen Grady's character. He is determined to convince people that dinosaurs are dangerous, wild animals, but he is also extremely comfortable being around them. When they finally catch Beta, they sedate her, and then he ties her up and throws her over his shoulder.

When Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) asks Grady if he has a dinosaur over his shoulder, he could just explain the situation. However, instead, he shrugs off the situation as if it's no big deal by saying, "Yeah, why?". This line is a bit of comedic relief and also makes fans chuckle as Grady acts as if a raptor over his shoulder is a normal occurrence.
