Jeff Goldblum loved reuniting with co-stars Sam Neill and Laura Dern for Jurassic World Dominion. The latest dino-thriller will wrap up the second Jurassic Park trilogy nearly 30 years after the original Steven Spielberg film first hit the big screen in 1993. Adapted from Michael Crichton's novel of the same name, Jurassic Park revolutionized the film industry using computer-generated visual effects and life-like animatronics. Jurassic Park III concluded the original trilogy in 2001, opening the door for the Jurassic World films to take off. In September 2019, Neill, Dern, and Goldblum affirmed they would all be reprising their original Jurassic Park roles in the upcoming Jurassic World Dominion. While Goldblum made a brief appearance in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as his character Dr. Ian Malcolm, Neill's Alan Grant and Dern's Ellie Sattler have not fended off dinosaurs since 2001's Jurassic Park III. The upcoming occasion also marks the first time the original Jurassic Park trio will appear together in the franchise since the first movie debuted. Since reuniting for the film, Golblum, Dern and Neill have been dropping fun teasers and behind-the-scenes photos as Jurassic World Dominion builds momentum for its release on June 10, 2022. They will be joined by beloved returning franchise characters in Chris Pratt's Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire Dearing.
In a recent interview with People, Goldblum shared that he loved reuniting with co-stars Neill and Dern for Jurassic World Dominion. Goldblum explained that the three actors stayed in touch over the years, maintaining relationships they built during filming on the original Jurassic Park. "We had such a close experience on the first one, and they're of course two of the greatest actors of our time in the world. And so I loved it. We've stayed in touch over the years, but that was so exciting."
Goldblum is not alone in his affectionate feelings regarding the Jurassic Park trio's reunion. In 2021, Dern commented that it was "terrific" to get the crew back together and take a trip down memory lane for Jurassic World Dominion. Dern also referred to many of those involved with the entire Jurassic franchise as being akin to "family."
