The upcoming sequel Jurassic World Dominion already has fans asking a great number of questions about the specifics of its plot, but it's actually already got the perfect answer for all of them. Following directly on from the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the latest installment into the franchise sees humans and the recently liberated dinosaurs attempt to co-exist across the globe. Trailers have revealed several elements of Jurassic World Dominion's plot, including Blue having a baby, the return of familiar faces to the franchise, and that Jurassic World's dinosaurs are bad news for Earth.

With Jurassic World Dominion set to take the franchise into uncharted territory, a number of questions have arisen for fans from the trailers' reveals. In many ways, Jurassic World Dominion is clearly attempting to take the franchise in a new direction, but naturally, this gives way to confusion from fans. In its departure from previous movies, Dominion must establish the nature of these changes and will undoubtedly be forced to explain the science (such as it is) behind its story.

Luckily, Jurassic World Dominion already has the perfect answer to the most burning questions. Not only does this answer explain away most of the narrative hurdles Dominion seemingly faces, but it does so with a delightful throwback to the franchise's origins. That is, that "life finds a way," a line uttered by Jeff Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm in 1993's Jurassic Park.

Pyroraptor in Jurassic World Dominion

As revealed by the Jurassic World Dominion trailer, Blue has a baby, and even the film's characters are a little unsure as to how without the known existence of a father. Much has been made in the Jurassic Park franchise of the genetic modifications made to its dinosaurs in order to prevent them from breeding and creating an uncontrollable population, but to explain Blue's seemingly miraculous offspring, the franchise's go-to answer will suffice. Blue has a baby because life has found a way.

It's also clear that Jurassic World Dominion will feature new and never-before-seen dinosaurs. Again, this hints at a natural evolution of the various species out in the world, but Dominion will have no need to explain the science behind it. Whether Jurassic World's dinosaurs have evolved or not, the simple answer to any question on the subject remains: life finds a way.

In addition, the answer can be applied to one of the biggest and most burning questions that the trailer itself poses: can humans survive if they're forced to compete with dinosaurs for a place on Earth? To this, too, it seems that life will find a way, and although it may seem a relatively lazy way to approach the sequel's story, its link back to Jurassic Park actually makes it something of a stroke of genius. Not only does it follow the franchise's general ideology, but it reminds those in the audience not to take the movie's science too seriously. Whether or not the answer will actually prove satisfactory when Jurassic World Dominion releases remains to be seen, but it's the perfect response to all of the fans' questions.
