A new clip from Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous season 4 teases an entirely new setting in the Desert of Mysteries. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is an animated action-adventure TV series that premiered on Netflix on September 18, 2020. The series has boasted three seasons so far and Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous season 4 is right around the corner, scheduled for release on December 3, 2021. The series is part of the Jurassic Park franchise and follows a group of teens whose summer camp at the Isla Nublar becomes a fight for survival when the dinosaurs break loose and wreak havoc on the island.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous has performed very well and offers a more family-friendly approach to the Jurassic Park saga. Interest in the series has grown since it was confirmed Camp Cretaceous ties into the upcoming Jurassic World: Dominion. The entire series has been filled with fun references to the Jurassic Park franchise, but season 4 might hold a concrete connection to the upcoming film. This is especially probable since Camp Cretaceous has promised a season 4 that is vastly different from the first three instalments. The conclusion of season 3 saw the teens escape Isla Nublar, thus promising the introduction of an entirely new island.

As reported by ComicBook, a new season 4 clip teases the crew's arrival to the Desert of Mysteries. The clip shows the teens wandering around what appears to be a barren desert and complaining of thirst and heat. However, it quickly becomes apparent that this is no ordinary island or desert. Footsteps and machinery show that the crew is not alone and leads them to a secret high-tech hideout. Check out the clip below:

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous season 4 is truly striving to create a change of pace in the series. The first three seasons have followed the same routine of the teens struggles to survive the island. Now, the creators are aiming to shake-up that dynamic and challenge the characters in new ways with the Desert of Mysteries. Season 4 has previously teased an environment with advanced technology due to numerous posters featuring drones and robotic animals. This short Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous clip confirms that there is certainly something unnatural occurring in this particular desert. A high-tech, invisible hideout in the middle of a desert suggests that the teens might be facing something more than dinosaur threats this season.

It remains to be seen if the inhabitants of this desert hideout are friends or foes. However, previous teasers have revealed the introduction of Saber Tooth Tiger and the return of the Spinosaurus in Camp Cretaceous season 4. There is a possibility that the appearance of all these new and unique threats might be somehow connected to whomever the invisible hideout belongs to. A secret headquarters in a desert certainly raises suspicions for some top-secret and possibly unethical research taking place. Viewers will have to tune in to Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous on December 3 to uncover what true secrets lie within the desert and to determine if these secrets have anything to do with Jurassic World 3.
