Jurassic World entered 2015 as a franchise revival that many Jurassic Park fans were anticipating with a mix of excitement and concern. However, ultimately, the film won over audiences and became a box office smash hit around the world, keeping the dinosaur adventure series alive and well in the process.
The Blu-ray and DVD release of the film is being met with a similar level of anticipation, as fans are anxious to bring home the action for ourselves. A few of the special feature clips have surfaced online, revealing just how much access into the making of the film fans will experience. You can watch one such video, above (with several more included below).
Jurassic World has come very close to the numbers that the original made back in 1993, which were enormous for the era. The domestic box office haul for Jurassic Park, adjusted for inflation, was $746,406,300, while Jurassic World is clocking in at $639,872,800 currently. Now, it should be noted that the original Jurassic Park was released in a time when a hit movie could remain in the theaters for over a year before seeing any home video release, which was the case with that film. The box office for Jurassic World shows that fans still have a desire for a quality additions to this franchise. The home media release for Jurassic World could very well be one of the top sellers of the year, with 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD releases all coming, along with the option of a special boxed set that features a set of T-rex and Indominus rex statues.

The clips, which average in length from one to three minutes each, feature a lot of back and forth interviews between star Chris Pratt and the director of Jurassic World, Colin Trevorrow. The comfort and ease in their conversation makes for a really engaging featurette. There's also a jovial conversation with Trevorrow and the man behind the original Jurassic Park film (and executive producer of Jurassic World), Steven Spielberg. Their conversation brings light to how lucky they were in their casting of Pratt, since his appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy raised his profile as a desired name after they had already cast him in the film.
Pratt also discusses what drew him to the role and how well he worked with Trevorrow as a director. In fact, even the special on how great the casting was ends up with the actors all gushing about how kind and nurturing Trevorrow is to them all.
