New footage for Jurassic World Dominion screened at CinemaCon reveals just how overrun the world has become with dinosaurs. One of the most anticipated blockbusters of the year, Jurassic World Dominion arrives in June after being pushed back a year by the coronavirus pandemic. The Colin Trevorrow-directed threequel will see the returns of much of the Jurassic World cast, led by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. In addition to them, Dominion features the highly anticipated reunion between original Jurassic Park stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum.

Picking up years after 2018's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the new film takes place in a world overrun by dinosaurs. Audiences will recall that Fallen Kingdom ended with numerous prehistoric creatures being let loose on human society, and in the years since, they have worked their way into civilization. Jurassic World Dominion will then explore the repercussions of this and consider whether humanity can survive.

Universal held its CinemaCon presentation on Wednesday night, and Screen Rant was on hand to watch the brand new Jurassic World Dominion footage. It begins with Pratt's Owen Grady in the woods as he stumbles upon some raptors. After hunters capture the babies, Owen vows to get one of them - fan favorite raptor Blue's child - back. The footage then shows how dinosaurs have thoroughly taken over civilization, and even shows the shot of Owen riding through a dino-infested city on a motorcycle. Neill's Alan Grant is shocked to hear of the raptor rescue mission, and Ian Malcolm (Goldblum) even remarks, "You made a promise to a raptor?" Finally, a particularly formidable dinosaur makes an appearance as Ellie Sattler (Dern) is nearly pinned down.

Every bit of Jurassic World Dominion footage that has been revealed so far has stirred up excitement among audiences. The rebooted trilogy has been a big hit at the box office, but it's the returns of Neill, Dern, and Goldblum that have contributed to the outpouring of excitement for Dominion. The CinemaCon footage suggests that the concept of dinosaurs running amuck in the human world will actually reach its full potential, as seen with the city chase. Because of that, Jurassic World Dominion will likely make for an ideal big screen viewing experience.

The CinemaCon footage also indicates the returning Jurassic Park characters will be excellent additions to the World ensemble. Malcolm's startled reaction to Owen's determination to rescue the raptor hints the characters will play well off each other, and that there will be plenty of humor in between the jaw-dropping action sequences. With just over a month to go before Jurassic World Dominion finally bursts into theaters, perhaps some of this footage will emerge online in the coming weeks.
