Sam Neill and the cast of Jurassic World Dominion are brought face to face with dinosaurs in a series of new images from this summer's highly anticipated blockbuster. The sequel to 2018's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom continues the stories of Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) as dinosaurs are let loose in the modern world. Jurassic World Dominion also sees the returns of Jurassic Park's Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm, played by Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum.

Picking up on Fallen Kingdom's world-changing ending, Dominion brings the storyline that started with Steven Spielberg's 1993 classic Jurassic Park to a close. Humanity now has to grapple with living alongside once-extinct prehistoric creatures after Owen, Claire, and Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon) let a large number of dinosaurs loose during the Lockwood Estate Incident. While previously released Jurassic World Dominion images have shown peaceful interactions like Dr. Sattler caring for a young triceratops, a series of new high-definition pictures have shown the dangers that the cast face in this new, fragile balance.

Shared in a thread by My Movie Madness, the ten new images highlight the new and returning casts' encounters with many of Jurassic World Dominion's prehistoric creatures. Some images see the cast in grave danger, such as Alan, Ellie, Owen, Claire, Maisie, and Kayla Watts (DeWanda Wise) being inches away from the new Gigantosaurus' jaw, and Owen encountering a feathered, raptor-like dinosaur. Other images offer glimpses at the world of Jurassic World Dominion, from a Diplodocus calmly wading through a lake to dinosaurs being made to fight in a ring surrounded by humans. Plus, there are shots of additional characters such as returning star BD Wong's Dr. Henry Wu and newcomer Mamoudou Athdie's Biosyn employee Ramsey Cole. Recently, director Colin Trevorrow teased Dominion's dinosaur threats, focusing on the new predator, the Gigantosaurus, and its unique inspirations when compared to prior creatures. Trevorrow highlighted the predator's desire to cause chaos, likening the creature's destructive impulses to the iconic Batman villain The Joker. Unlike the genetically-engineered threats of Jurassic World's Indominus Rex and Fallen Kingdom's Indoraptor, the Gigantosaurus is inspired by a late-cretaceous period species of dinosaur but is still a colossal threat capable of outmatching a T-Rex. In many of the preview images for Jurassic World Dominion, the cast is seen carefully hiding from the Gigantosaurus amongst wrecked jeeps at night.

By revisiting and reuniting the original film's beloved characters and having the worlds of humanity and dinosaur collide, Jurassic World Dominion is shaping up to be a climactic final chapter of the six-film saga. With Owen, Claire, and Maisie's actions completely upending the order of the world and having implications on a global scale, the original Jurassic Park cast's return comes at a perfect time to closely bridge both trilogies. As seen in the recently released images, Jurassic World Dominion will not only reunite fans with the characters they love, but explore how humanity can cope in a chaotic, unpredictable world.
