Jurassic World: Dominion star, Bryce Dallas Howard, has weighed in on Universal Studios' new VelociCoaster ride. The American actress and director is best known for portraying Claire Dearing in Jurassic World and its sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. She will reprise her role as Dearing for the upcoming third installment, Jurassic World: Dominion, which is slated to release on June 10, 2022.

Despite Jurassic World 3's delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic, viewers have been given some teasers of the upcoming film. Director Colin Trevorrow recently released the first footage from Jurassic World: Dominion - a flashback to the dinosaur origins 65 million years ago. The cast and crew is hopeful that Jurassic World 3 will surpass the success of the first two films. It will be very different from the first two installments in that this will be the first film in which the dinosaurs are removed from the island and co-existing with humans. Fortunately, both Howard and Chris Pratt will be reprising their lead roles for the film, as their stellar performances were a large part of the franchise's initial success. Universal Studios recently reiterated their support of the franchise with their opening of the Jurassic World-inspired VelociCoaster ride.

Howard took to Twitter to capture her reaction to Universal's brand new VelociCoaster ride. The ride opened on June 10th, and the actress welcomed it enthusiastically. She posted a picture of herself in front of the ride's tracks, along with a snapshot of the ride's highest point, on social media. Howard introduced Universal visitors to their next adventure and described the ride as "terrifying." Check out her tweet below:

Universal Studios began construction on the VelociCoaster back in 2018, keeping the theme of their ride secret for as a long as possible. In Fall of 2020 they released the electrifying Jurassic World VelociCoaster trailer that stunned fans with its conceptual rendering. The ride reaches a staggering 155-feet at its highest point and features realistic animatronic raptors and gravity defying 360-degree loops. While Howard cheerfully directs thrill-seekers to the ride, it doesn't appear the actress has tested out the terrifying ride herself just yet. Fortunately, Universal Studios replied to her post with a promise to save her "a seat and a churro" whenever she's ready to brave the VelociCoaster.

The opening of the VelociCoaster is representative of the traction that Jurassic World has gained as well as of Universal Studios' recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. When Universal Pictures set out to revive the Jurassic Park franchise 14-years after its end, some doubted if they could effectively replicate the success of the original films. However, revisiting the popular franchise proved a smart move as advanced film technology and resources have allowed Jurassic World 3 to do what Steven Spielberg could only dream of decades ago. Universal Studios' decision to collaborate with the franchise on VelociCoaster reiterates the franchise's success and its amazing ability to keep the Jurassic Park universe alive. Meanwhile, Howard's endorsement of the coaster will be much appreciated by Universal Studios as they work to get back on their feet after the difficult pandemic months and to compete with Disney World's recent debut of Avengers Campus.
