Bryce Dallas Howard, who returns for the upcoming film Jurassic World 3, has given fans a sneak peek of her character Claire Dearing in a new photo. The Jurassic Park franchise kicked off in 1993, with a film starring Samuel L. Jackson, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern. The first movie was based off the novel of the same name by Michael Crichton. It was followed by two other films: The Lost World: Jurassic Park in 1997 and Jurassic Park III in 2001. After the release of the third film, the franchise went on hiatus until 2015.

That year, Jurassic World was released, introducing fans to a new group of heroes. Among them was Howard's Claire Dearing, originally the operations manager of Jurassic World. The film also starred Guardians of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, a handler. The Jurassic World films were planned as a trilogy, with several characters returning for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in 2018. Now, attention turns to the upcoming third film, which will be released on June 11, 2021.

Howard shared the new photo on Twitter earlier today with the caption "Thank you Jason Low for Claire’s hair part 3! Love the layers! You are brilliant." The timing of the picture makes sense, as Pratt revealed earlier this week that filming on Jurassic World 3 will begin "very soon." Fans also learned that Jake Johnson and Omar Sy's characters will return for the movie. Check out Howard's photo of Claire's hair for Jurassic World 3 below:

Excitement for Jurassic World 3 is especially high considering it's the last film in the World portion of the franchise. What's more, Dern, Goldblum, and fellow Jurassic Park actor Sam Neill will all join Howard and Pratt in the film. It marks the first time back since Jurassic Park III for Neill and Dern, while Goldblum played a role in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Dern recently spoke about her return as popular character Ellie Sattler, saying she "love[d] the idea of seeing where she is now." She also discussed the character's impact on young women in particular, explaining that Ellie "was sort of one of their first feminist bad-ass action characters."

Considering all fans have to look forward to in Jurassic World 3, they should be excited to hear that Howard is preparing for her return as Claire Dearing. Even a small step like this one means production on the movie is that much closer to starting. When that happens, fans can expect behind-the-scenes teases that may give them some clue into the plot of the highly anticipated film. Hopefully, Jurassic World 3 will be a satisfying conclusion to a beloved franchise.
