The Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer drops on Thursday, but co-writer and producer Colin Trevorrow has shared a new teaser that features a never-before-seen dinosaur. Trevorrow took to Twitter to share the teaser, which features different footage than the Fallen Kingdom trailer teaser that was released directly online (through the movie's social media accounts) last night.

Jurassic Worldthe fourth film in the Jurassic Park franchise, focused on a successful version of the original Jurassic Park that was built on the previous park's site, more than twenty years later. The park (like its predecessor) eventually failed following the introduction of a hybrid dinosaur, known as the Indominous Rex. The sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, will feature some new dinosaurs of its own, presenting yet another dino-threat for human leads Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) to do battle with.

All that and more is on display in the newest teaser for Fallen Kingdom, which offers a quick look at a brand-new dinosaur, shown popping its head out of a sewer entrance here. The creature has a rounded snout and somewhat resembles a velociraptor but is considerably larger than Blue or any of Owen's raptor buddies from the first Jurassic World. You can watch said trailer teaser in the space above.

The new dinosaur appears to be the Baryonx - a creature now confirmed to appear in Fallen Kingdom - but fans shouldn't rule anything out. Fallen Kingdom is expected to feature more than one hybrid dinosaur along the lines of the Indominus Rex, and it's possible that the dinosaur featured here is one of the hybrid animals (maybe even a hybrid that's part Baryonx) that has yet to be officially named.

Jurassic World did tease that InGen, the company behind the creation of the dinosaurs, would be moving into creating more hybrids in the sequel, even hinting at military applications for the creatures. Just what this new dinosaur or any of the other hybrids will be used for remains to be seen, but this new footage seems to hint that they're following in the footsteps of the Indominous Rex, the original hybrid, and causing chaos.

Whatever sort of dinosaur it is, it looks to be part of bringing the mysterious "Kingdom" down by attacking humans, but diehard fans should wait for the trailer release on Thursday before making any judgments or conclusions. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stars Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcom, BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, and Justice Smith (The Get Down) in an unknown role.
