Before Jurassic World Dominion hits theaters, some may want to catch up on the Jurassic Park franchise; here's where every movie can be found online. The Jurassic franchise will (for now at least) end with Jurassic World Dominion. Now that dinosaurs have been turned loose in the world, humanity has to learn to exist alongside them - including not becoming their prey. Humankind and dinos are poised for one last battle to establish dominance over the planet.
It's a far cry from the first Jurassic Park, which was entirely contained to the setting of Isla Nublar. Now that Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler are pairing up again in Jurassic World Dominion, it's only natural to revisit the chemistry they exuded in Jurassic Park nearly 30 years ago. However, with so many streaming choices, it can sometimes prove difficult to find each movie online, especially when they exist in a franchise that spans roughly three decades. Here's where each movie can be watched before Jurassic World Dominion.
1993's Jurassic Park jumpstarted the mega-franchise. It follows the horror that ensues when an innovative, one-of-a-kind idea turns out to be a mistake of enormous proportions. Philanthropist John Hammond creates Jurassic Park from prehistoric, fossilized dinosaur DNA, but while his intentions are benevolent, it turns out to be incredibly dangerous. The Lost World: Jurassic Park picked up the franchise next and was praised for its visuals and nerve-wracking action sequences. It takes place four years after the original Jurassic Park, and without Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler in the picture, Ian Malcolm is left to explore Isla Sorna, the secret, titular "lost world" on which a group of cloned dinosaurs reside. Jurassic Park III concluded the original trilogy, taking place on Isla Sorna and bringing back Dr Alan Grant, though not by his choice.
The new generation of Jurassic Park movies has gotten a bit less convenient for watching at home. Jurassic World introduces a new luxury resort on Isla Nublar that contains yet more advanced dinosaurs including the Indominus rex, which eventually escapes and causes irreparable chaos among all of the other species of dinosaurs. Owen Grady, a renowned animal behaviorist, and park manager Claire Dearing become the only people who could stop the chaos. In Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Owen and Claire return to save the dinosaurs from perishing in a volcanic eruption. Unfortunately, Jurassic World is not streaming anywhere currently, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom can only be streamed through FuBo and DirectTV in the US. However, both Jurassic World movies can be rented on Youtube, Google Play, and Amazon Prime Video for $3.99.
Lastly, it might be easily overlooked because it doesn't include "Jurassic Park" in its title, but the short film Battle at Big Rock is an important movie in the Jurassic franchise, nonetheless. It takes place after Fallen Kingdom and follows the terrifying story of a family on a trip to Big Rock National Park in California as they come face to face with a dinosaur. Fortunately, Battle at Big Rock is streaming for free on Youtube. The Jurassic Park franchise dominated the box office since the 1990s; watching some of those classics will be a perfect refresher before Jurassic World Dominion.
