February is the month associated with romance, chocolates, wine, and love stories, but for fans of creature features and action flicks, why not throw some dinosaurs into the mix this Valentine’s Day? A blockbuster phenomenon since the early 90s, Jurassic Park and Jurassic World continue to excite and amaze fans worldwide.

One of the top ten highest grossing movies franchises of all time, Jurassic World: Dominion is set to be the 6th films in the series, and will bring back fan favorite characters Ellie Sattler, Alan Grant, and everyone’s favorite leather-clad mathematician, Ian Malcolm. Many fun and fascinating characters have graced the big screen in the Jurassic franchise, but let's be honest, some of them would make a way better date for Valentine's Day than others.

Best: Owen Grady

Chris Pratt as Owen Grady in Jurassic World

Owen has it all - the looks, the sense of humor, and an unshakeable love for animals. Far from irresponsible, this military veteran has a strong sense of justice, especially when it comes to the treatment of the dinosaurs at the park.

A raptor trainer at Jurassic World, Owen is focused on his work, but when he's off the clock, all bets are off. A bit of a flirt, he always has a cute joke ready to go.

Worst: Donald Gennaro

Jurassic Park - Donald Gerrero

Donald Gennaro's primary focus in life is himself, and in his job it's all about the money. There is no shame in financial success and self preservation, but when it directly harms others, that's when there's a character flaw.

Selfish and cowardly, he obviously shouldn't be trusted with children if there's any possibility of danger. He might try to save himself and leave them to be eaten by an angry T-Rex.

Best: Sarah Harding

Julianne Moore Sarah Harding The Lost World-Jurassic Park

Sarah Harding is the perfect combination of independent and adventurous, even if it means that it gets her into trouble. Highly intelligent and brave, she immerses herself in predators' natural habitats for her work.

Outside of work, she is kind, sociable, and good with kids. She also proves to be a good communicator, letting her needs be known both in and out of a relationship.

Worst: Vic Hoskins

Vic Hoskins may be ambitious, but he uses that drive for evil, selfishly putting animals and people at risk for his own greed. He wants to make money and a name for himself, and he thinks that using raptors as weapons of war is the answer.

He's manipulative, impatient, and lacks empathy in his work, and it's hard to argue that these same traits wouldn't shine through in a relationship as well.

Best: Alan Grant

Jurassic Park - Sam Neill as Alan Grant on helicopter

Dr. Alan Grant is prickly on the outside, but has a soft, gooey, sweet-hearted center. Though he insists he doesn't like kids, they obviously really like him, and that says a lot about him as a person. Quiet and dedicated, he is passionate about his work, not because he's in it for the money, but because he genuinely loves dinosaurs.

Alan may put on a grumpy front, but the truth is that he is kindhearted, brave, and would be a good partner and dad if he decided to settle down.

Worst: Claire Dearing

Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing in Jurassic World

Though she sees considerable growth in the second movie, the Claire Dearing from the first film is just not ready for a relationship.

She is beautiful, smart, and successful, but her interpersonal skills leave something to be desired. A workaholic, she barely sees her family, and doesn't remember how old her nephews are. She's not heartless, but she has her priorities, and that priority is her job.

Best: Zia Rodriguez

Zia Rodriguez Daniella Pineda Jurassic World

Introduced in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Zia Rodriguez is a dinosaur veterinarian and a badass animal lover.

A member of the Dinosaur Protection Group, she is passionate about the preservation and safety of the animals that science has forcefully brought back into existence. Dedicated and brave, she is willing to risk her life whether it's for her friends, or to save a sick Blue.

Worst: Henry Wu

Jurassic World Dr Henry Wu BD Wong

Dr. Henry Wu is a genius when it comes to dinosaur genetics, but his ambitions go too far. Not only is he willing to manipulate and harm others, but he does it for personal gain. He regularly breaks laws and bends morals for money, power, and recognition for his work.

Best: Ellie Sattler

Ellie Sattler is ultimate girlfriend material. A bubbly and passionate paleobotanist, her excitement once she sees the dinosaurs at the park is both infectious and adorable.

Her deep respect for nature, and her soft spot for children makes her likable, but her bravery and selflessness in the face of danger is the cherry on top. Smart and beautiful, Ellie easily catches both Ian and Alan's eye.

Worst: Ian Malcolm

Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park

No one is doubting that Ian is attractive and likable, but he is far from the best husband. Often neglecting quality time for work, he has had several failed marriages, and boasts that he is always on the lookout for the next "Ex-Mrs. Malcolm".

Sarah even points out that he relies on grand gestures rather than just being there for her in small ways when she needs him. He is a good guy, but he doesn't take his relationships seriously.
