Reebok's new Jurassic Park-themed sneakers use the original SUV colors, making for a nostalgic piece of merch die-hard fans will love. Steven Spielberg's 1993 film is still widely regarded as one of the best ever made, even as the franchise continues to expand in new ways. Jurassic Park stars Sam Neill, Jeff Golblum, and Laura Dern as a group of experts invited to the titular park before it opens, acting as something like test subjects. The hook of Jurassic Park is that scientists have developed a method to recreate the dinosaurs. Inevitably, things go wrong, and Jurassic Park soon becomes a fight for survival.
The film was hit upon its release and lead to the creation of two sequels. The property was revived on the big screen in 2015 with Jurassic World, a new blockbusters that actually saw the park open. Fast forward to today, and audiences are still waiting for the arrival of the third and final film in the Jurassic World era, Dominion. That movie was once scheduled for release in June of this year, but the coronavirus pandemic pushed it back to 2022. It's been said Jurassic World: Dominion will act as a proper culmination for the entire franchise.
The franchise has moved onto bigger things, but the love for Jurassic Park still runs strong. Case in point: Reebok has announced the release of a new pair of Jurassic Park sneakers, which will be available in May. The color of the sneakers match the SUVs the characters rode around the park in the film, and the iconic fossil logo is displayed right on the front. Reebok has gone full Jurassic Park with these.
