A trailer has been released for a fanmade Jurassic Park game that looks incredibly faithful to the 1993 movie. Krenautican is known for their work in Media Molecule's Dreams, and has created a variety of Jurassic Park-themed videos using the PlayStation-exclusive creative suite, such as the iconic T-Rex escape scene, or the climactic showdown between the T-Rex, Giganotosaurus, and Therizinosaurus from the latest movie, Jurassic World: Dominion.

Toward the end of the breakdown detailing how they recreated Jurassic Park's famous T-Rex scene in Dreams, Krenautican revealed that they'd been working on a fanmade survival game called Jurassic Park Operations within Dreams alongside a team - now named Genetic Games - and had developed most of the assets already for that title. They then offered fans a first look at Jurassic Park Operations' first-person gameplay, with dialogue revealing that it would take place at the same time as the events of Steven Spielberg's original 1993 movie. Krenautican has now revealed the first full trailer, showcasing several of the faithfully recreated dinosaurs and iconic locations that players will be able to explore in the game, as well as Jurassic Park Operations' new horror-inspired gameplay footage.

Jurassic Park Operations Will Feature Locations Not Seen In The Movies

Jurassic Park Operations - River Adventure

Jurassic Park Operations' trailer branched out from the movies and revealed a location that's very familiar to fans of the Jurassic Park novels: the river. The river featured in Michael Crichton's original book comprises a thrilling sequence in which Grant, Lex, and Tim were chased down a river in a raft by a T-Rex. Concept art has shown that the sequence was once planned for Spielberg's 1993 movie, but was cut likely due to the logistical issues of filming with the animatronics in water. It was, however, used as the inspiration for a popular ride at the Universal Studios theme parks, and was turned into a notoriously difficult level in the SEGA Genesis Jurassic Park movie tie-in game.

Krenautican's previous Jurassic Park-inspired work within Dreams has been highly praised by dinosaur fans. Perhaps the highest praise was for one of Krenautican's videos which featured Jurassic World: Dominion’s new dinosaur, the Therizinosaurus, which came from one of Media Molecule's artists, Martin Nebelong. Nebelong called it some of the best work he'd seen in Dreams so far due to its camera work, sounds, and sculpts, all of which had been created from scratch within Dreams.

As the trailer acted as a main reveal for the title, there is currently no release date for Jurassic Park Operations. Due to such high praise for their previous videos, many fans are likely looking forward to seeing how Krenautican and Genetic Games will approach a full game set within the world of Jurassic Park. So far, the trailer and gameplay footage seems extremely promising.
