Warning! Contain a preview for Jurassic League #4

A new preview for DC's prehistoric Justice League series is teasing the imminent arrival of the dinosaur version of Darkseid. Taking place in an alternate universe where dinosaurs and humans coexist, all of the superheroes are giant lizards who exist as savage counterparts to the classic DC heroes fans know and love. However, this is the same for several villains as well, including one of DC's most powerful foes who will soon be hatching from his Dark Embryo in the next issue of Jurassic League.

As seen in previous issues of Jurassic League from Juan Gedeon and Daniel Warren Johnson, the dino-version of DC's Trinity came together for the first time to take on the prehistoric Bizarro and Giganta. Known as the Batsaur, Supersaur, and Wonderdon, the dino-heroes have begun to uncover a dark plan carried out by the Jokerzard and more savage villains who've been harvesting humans in service to the Dark Embryo. Likewise, the Flashraptor, Green Torch, and Aquanyx have come together as a trio to protect humans as well.

While both sets of heroes still need to meet to form the full dinosaur Justice League, the new preview for Jurassic League #4 confirms that they'll likely be out of time before the Dark Embryo hatches, bringing forth the biggest threat any of the dinosaurs has ever had to face. Having consumed all the humans his Legion of Doomsauria brought him, the Darkseid within even devours the Blackmantasuar as he prepares to burst forth from the most sinister egg of all time. JURASSIC LEAGUE #4- The trinity of Batsaur, Wonderdon, and Supersaur welcomes a few new monstrous members in the form of Aquanyx, Flashraptor, and Green Torch! But can even a fully-staffed Jurassic League stand a chance against Darkseid and his army of corrupted carnivores?

While the synopsis confirms that the Jurassic League will finally come together, it also teases that the dino-version of Darkseid will indeed be hatched, having received all the energy required to enslave the savage world. While the Jurassic League has been able to take down every villain that's been thrown at them thus far, the dinosaur Darkseid will no doubt be on another level. He might even be more dangerous and aggressive as a predatory dinosaur in this new series.

At any rate, DC's new Jurassic League series should prove to be a wild ride to the finish now that the miniseries has reached its back half of issues. A battle between classic DC heroes and their greatest villain is always exciting, though the prehistoric twist makes it even better as the epically ridiculous cherry on top. Here's hoping the dino-Justice League has what it takes to defeat this savage Darkseid when the full Jurassic League #4 releases on August 9th.
