Lavish sci-fi epic Jupiter Ascending was supposed to be one of the big blockbuster releases of summer 2014, but the amount of visual spectacle involved meant that the film ended up being delayed to the much cooler month of February in 2015. Directed by The Matrix duo Andy and Lana Wachoswki, Jupiter Ascending stars Mila Kunis as a lowly janitor who is one day told that her genes mark her as the rightful heir and ruler of Earth - a fact that displeases Earth's current ruler, Balem (Eddie Redmayne).
Luckily Jupiter has a couple of genetically spliced allies on her side: part-wolf Caine (Channing Tatum) and part-bee Stinger (Sean Bean), who both refer to her as "Majesty" and are determined to keep her alive despite Balem's best efforts. Other cast members include Douglas Booth and Tuppence Middleton as Balem's blue-blood siblings (and since they're aliens, they might literally have blue blood).
With so many trailers already having been released, there's little more that Warner Bros. can show without giving away too much about Jupiter Ascending's story, so the new TV trailer is largely a reshuffled mix of previously revealed footage, with a few new seconds added in. Warner Bros. has also released a new set of character posters showing off the fashion of Jupiter Ascending, which is more than a little reminiscent of The Fifth Element.

Eight months is a long time for a movie to be delayed, and since the first trailer for Jupiter Ascending was released over a year ago it's now going to be much harder to generate hype, especially since the film is releasing in what is traditionally one of the worst box office months of the year. With a reported production budget of $150 million, Jupiter Ascending needs to perform a lot better than the average February movie in order to avoid box office bomb status.
Somewhat fittingly, Jupiter Ascending will actually release on the same day as fantasy film The Seventh Son, which was originally supposed to release in February 2013. At least the two movies are in good company.
Jupiter Ascending will be released on February 6th, 2015.
