Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Danny DeVito and Kevin Hart get ready for action in a new behind-the-scenes photo from rehearsals for the forthcoming sequel Jumanji 3. Karen Gillan and Jack Black are also set to return for the follow-up to 2017's smash hit Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Released in 1995, the original Jumanji starred the legendary Robin Williams in an action-packed story about a magical board game whose wild life dangers spill over into reality. Notable for its then state-of-the-art CGI animals, Jumanji was a big hit with $262 million at the global box office. Despite the film's good performance, a sequel never followed until 2017 when the magical game premise was resurrected, and significantly altered, for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The long-delayed sequel was an even bigger hit than the original, rampaging to $962 million globally.

With the inevitable Jumanji 3 now in production, Dwayne Johnson has shared a behind-the-scenes picture showing himself and new cast member Danny DeVito hard at work getting prepared for their roles. Returning star Kevin Hart is also shown getting down to business with Johnson and De Vito. Johnson accompanies the photo with a little rundown of nicknames for his co-stars, including a very amusing and not very PC one for Kevin Hart. See the photo below:

In addition to DeVito, Jumanji 3 has also added another well-known Danny from the '80s - Danny Glover - to the cast. Nick Jonas is also returning to the jungle, together with the teenage cast members from the last Jumanji. The premise of Welcome to the Jungle of course involved the teen versions of the characters getting sucked into the movie's magical video game and being turned into the adult characters, who then had to work together to beat the game and return to reality. At the movie's end, the triumphant kids smashed the video game cartridge that caused all their problems, but somehow or another Jumanji 3 will find a way to put them right back in danger again.

However Jumanji 3 plays out story-wise, the movie definitely has an entertaining cast with DeVito joining the mix alongside fellow funny men Kevin Hart and Jack Black, as well as Karen Gillan and Glover. Going by the all-smiles BTS photo shared by Dwayne Johnson, it appears The Rock and his cast mates are already having a great time with the movie. But then again, it's hard to think of a time when The Rock doesn't appear to be having fun.
