Netflix's new original series Julie and the Phantoms has arrived, and you may recognize a few people in the cast. Based on the Brazilian series with the same name, Julie and the Phantoms follows teenage musical prodigy Julie and the ghostly boy band that helps get her confidence back.
Much like executive-producer Kenny Ortega's previous projects, which include the Descendants movies and the High School Musical trilogy, the cast of Julie and the Phantoms is primarily made up of newcomers, with a few familiar faces. Madison Reyes as Julie
16-year-old actress Madison Reyes is appearing for her first major film credit as Julie in Julie and the Phantoms. With no prior roles, Reyes sent in her tape to audition for the role after finding out about the show at her school. You may not have seen her around, but maybe you will more in the future.

Owen Patrick Joyner - Alex: The drummer of the Phantoms, Owen Joyner is most recognizable for playing Arc on Knight Squad, although the actor also appeared on the Nickelodeon show 100 Things To Do Before High School.
Charles Gillepsie - Luke Most recognizable from his recurring role as Brian on the CW reboot of Charmed, Gillepsie plays the ghostly lead singer and guitarist in the ghostly boy band.
Jeremy Shada - Reggie Shada is best known for voicing Finn the Human in the animated series Adventure Time. Here, he plays the Phantoms' goofy bass player.
Cheyenne Jackson as Caleb Covington
Cheyenne Jackson appears in Julie and the Phantoms as the menacing owner of a ghostly nightclub, Caleb Covington. Jackson previously appeared as Hades in Descendants 3, another Kenny Ortega property, but is best known for his roles in American Horror Story, 30 Rock, and Glee.

Booboo Stewart - Willie Although Stewart played Jay in the Descendants movie, he is best known for playing Seth Clearwater in the Twilight franchise. In Julie and the Phantoms, Boobo Stewart plays the laid back, skateboarding ghost Willie, who strikes up an unlikely romance with the Phantoms drummer, Alex.
Jadah Marie - Flynn Jadah Marie is another actor from Descendants 3, where she played Celia. However, you might recognize the actress from her small parts in Ready Player One, or Blue Bloods.
Savannah Lee May - Carrie Playing Julie's musical rival Carrie, Savannah Lee May is best known for appearing in Knight Squad alongside fellow Julie and the Phantoms cast member Owen Joyner as Buttercup.
Carlos Ponce - Ray Carlos Ponce appears in Julie and the Phantoms as Julie's widowed father, Ray. Ponce is most recognizable from his career in Spanish language soap operas with Telemundo, but had small parts in American films such as Spy and Couples Retreat, and voiced Marcel in the animated movie Rio.
Sonny Bustamante (not pictured) Appearing in Julie and the Phantoms as Julie's younger brother, Sonny Bustamante's other major role was as Andy in the mini-series about the Menendez brothers, Law & Order: True Crime.
