Julia Roberts has had a comeback recently with the excellent Amazon series Homecoming, but it's safe to say that the 1990s was her decade. The actress starred in several movies during this time period, ranging from romantic comedy to thriller to drama, and these are the roles that people associate her with.

Most movie fans would say that they are fans of Julia Roberts, too, since she is so talented and versatile. And it's fun to take a look at your Myers-Briggs® Personality Type in comparison to these popular movies. Read on to find out which classic '90s Julia Roberts movie you would be based on your MBTI.

INFP: Mystic Pizza

Mystic Pizza came out in 1988 but was Julia's first big role so it had to be included in this list. Julia played Daisy Arújo who worked at the pizza place (which as the same name as the film title) with her friend Jojo Barbosa (Lili Taylor) and sister Kat (Annabeth Gish).

The movie is about friendship, love, and finding happiness (all the easy things about growing up, right?). If someone's MBTI is INFP or "Thoughtful Idealist" then this would be their classic Julia Roberts movie, based on this official description: INFPs "typically try to help others with their growth and inner development to reach their full potential." This is exactly what each character is doing since they want to be there for one another during this time in their young lives. The girls are "sensitive" and "curious" as well.

Also INFP: Erin Brockovich

Julia Roberts in Erin Brockovich

Erin Brockovich was released in 2000 so it just missed being considered a '90s Julia Roberts movie, but the film is such a classic part of her resume that it couldn't be ignored. In this excellent film based on a true story, Julia plays the title character who is instrumental in bringing a class-action lawsuit brought against a big corporation because water pollution is making many people living in a California town sick.

If your MBTI is INFP, you have a second classic Julia Roberts movie that perfectly fits in with your values: Erin Brockovich. You are an idealist for sure and you have a strong sense that the world needs to treat people well. You would definitely be able to relate to Erin and her fight to help the group of people. You're "deep" and "complex" and "original" just like this inspiring character (and the inspiring woman that she is based on).

ISTP: The Pelican Brief

Based on the novel of the same name by John Grisham, this movie saw Julia Roberts as a girl named Darby Shaw who was studying law. Her ambition and strong-willed nature lead her to figure out why two prominent people in the legal world are murdered. Thanks to a brief that she pens, it becomes clear that someone (or a lot of people) know that she's on the right track and would do anything to make sure that she doesn't survive.

Darby Shaw sounds a lot like an ISTP or "Logical Pragmatist" so if this is your MBTI, then this is your classic '90s Julia Roberts movie. People with this MBTI type are described as "careful observers" which is definitely Darby. You're also someone who is "self-determined."

ISTJ: Sleeping With The Enemy

Julia Roberts in Sleeping With the Enemy

The 1991 film Sleeping With The Enemy  starred Julia Roberts as Laura Burney, a woman who was abused by her husband, played by Patrick Bergin. She manages to run away and, honestly, the movie is pretty tough to watch, which makes sense given the subject matter. Since it's the furthest thing from a romantic comedy, it's not the type of '90s movie that we tend to associate with Julia Roberts.

If someone's MBTI is ISTJ or "Responsible Realist" then their Julia Roberts movie would be this one. They are "factual" and would notice ever single little detail in the film. They are also very "calm" people so would remain that way while watching the film, which is definitely difficult to watch.

ENTP: Everyone Says I Love You

Von and Joe by the water in Venice in Everyone Says I Love You

Everyone Says I Love You is a Woody Allen movie that was released in 1996. It's got a musical tone and also stars a lot of famous faces like Natalie Portman and Drew Barrymore.

It's probably not the role that Julia Roberts is best known for. If your MBTI is ENTP or "Enterprising Explorer" then this is your Julia Roberts movie because you're someone with a lot of creativity. You would definitely need an artistic sensbility in order to like a movie musical as they are not for everyone.

ENTP: Stepmom

Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts in Stepmom

The 1998 movie Stepmom stars Susan Sarandon as a dying woman named Jackie and Julia Roberts as Isabel, her ex-husband's fiance and the stepmother to her children. It's emotional and charming, if very cheesy... and maybe even a bit dated if we watched it today.

Isabel is a bit of a rebel in terms of how she wants to bring up the two kids. While she has a very youthful attitude, Jackie is much more traditional. It sounds like Isabel's MBTI would be ENTP or "Enterprising Explorer." She's fun and "lively" and has a real "creative" spirit. If your MBTI is ENTP as well, then this is definitely your classic '90s Julia Roberts movie.

ISFP: Notting Hill

Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant in Notting Hill

Now let's talk about the Julia Roberts classic '90s movies that people know and love the most. Notting Hill came out in 1999 and has so many fans. With a screenplay by Richard Curtis, the movie stars Julia Roberts as Anna Scott, a famous actress, and bookstore owner Will Thacker (Hugh Grant). It's an adorable romantic comedy that has never gone out of style.

Everyone in the movie seems very sensitive -- Anna worries people only use her for her fame and Will is the typical neurotic yet charming Hugh Grant character -- so if your MBTI is ISFP or "Versatile Supporter" then this is your movie. You're "sensitive" and "gentle." You're also not cool with people not getting you and you don't like a "lack of understanding."

ENTJ: Runaway Bride

Runaway Bride

This is another classic '90s Julia Roberts movie that fans will always bring up. The 1999 film saw the actress as, well, a runaway bride. She just couldn't stop getting engaged and then leaving the groom behind on her wedding day. Richard Gere also stars in the movie.

Since Julia's character, Maggie Carpenter, is very headstrong and follows what she feels is right, her MBTI would be ENTJ or "Decisive Strategist." And if this is your MBTI, then this is your movie.

ENTJs "usually see the big picture and think strategically about the future" and it could be argued that this is what Maggie has done each time that she realized that she couldn't get married. Someone who is an ENTJ is "tough" and a "natural critic." They also don't like a "lack of control."

INFP: Pretty Woman

Pretty Woman is definitely the most famous Julia Roberts movie, and this classic came out in 1990. Julia played a prostitute named Vivian Ward and Richard Gere played a wealthy guy named Edward Lewis. The love story is so famous and beloved, and perhaps the most talked about scene is when Vivian is shopping and treated super rudely by the employee. Vivian goes back later, once she's all dolled up and has gotten some new clothes, and says, "You work on commission right? Big mistake. Big. Huge."

Anyone watching this movie would be frustrated at how people treat Vivian, and if you're an INTP or "Thoughtful Idealist" then you will get even more invested in this character. You have "moral commitments" to your beliefs and don't like "being met with criticism."

ESFP: My Best Friend's Wedding

George sings I Say A Little Prayer to Julianne in My Best Friend's Wedding

My Best Friend's Wedding is up there with Pretty Woman as the Julia Roberts film that everyone remembers. Released in 1997, the movie starred Julia as Julianne Potter, a woman in love with her best friend Michael O'Neal (Dermot Mulroney)... who was marrying Kimberly (Cameron Diaz).

Julianne wants to make sure that they don't live happily ever and does what she can to make it not happen. Julianne's MBTI would be ESFP or "Supportive Contributor" because she sounds a lot like the description: she doesn't like "uncertainty" (what will happen once her best friend is married) or people "dismissing how I feel."
