The much-awaited Season 2 of the popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen receives a gorgeous piece of promotional art with a split poster showcasing the main characters, including the former friends and now bitter enemies Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto. The two powerful Jujutsu Sorcerers will clash in the second half of the season, while the first will show their past as friends and fellow students of Jujutsu Tech.Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most popular manga of the past few years, which received an equally successful anime adaptation by studio MAPPA that aired between 2020 and 2021. After the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0, a prequel to the series, was a smash-hit success, it was confirmed that Season 2 of the anime will release in 2023. While the exact air date is not known yet, fans are already hyped for what they will see in the season, especially those who have read the manga and know that one of the most critically-acclaimed parts of the series, the Shibuya Incident arc, is coming soon.Related: How Jujutsu Kaisen Avoids One Of Anime’s Worst Main Character TropesThe official account of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime has released more details on the new season, including what arcs from the manga it will adapt, accompanied by a promotional poster. The art shows the two strongest Jujutsu Sorcerers, Gojo and Geto, facing each other in a train carriage. However, the two halves of the poster take place at different times. On the right, Gojo is shown in the present, as a teacher at Jujutsu Tech, with his beloved disciples behind him. The scene on the left, instead, is from Geto and Gojo's past, when they were students at Jujutsu Tech, before the dramatic events that led to Geto abandoning his friend and becoming a fearsome villain.

This is a great way to tell fans that Season 2 of the anime will not only adapt the popular Shibuya Incident arc, but also the Hidden Inventory and Premature Death chapters of the manga, which are set in the past and tell the story of Gojo and Geto's friendship and how it ended. These events were already hinted at in the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie, rousing the curiosity of fans who have not read the manga, and will now get to see the epic battle between Gojo, Geto, and Toji Fushiguro, and how it led to Geto becoming a renegade Sorcerer and the biggest villain in the series. After this look at the past, Season 2 will pick up from where season 1 left and show the Shibuya Incident, where the students and teachers of Jujutsu Tech will face Geto and the Cursed Spirits in a battle of unprecedented scale.

It will still take many months before Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen makes its debut, but considering the quality of the source material and the incredible effort that studio MAPPA puts in all of its productions, fans' patience will surely be rewarded with an amazing product.
