Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Jujutsu Kaisen #200With the premeditated death, chaos, and destruction he has caused across the Jujutsu Kaisen timeline, it wouldn't be a stretch to consider Kenjaku as evil, if not more than the King of Curses himself. However, his plans on how cursed energy can be used for good make one wonder if he's actually been a hero the whole time.

Despite the fact that his exit from the shadows and rise to major "evil" sorcerer has only happened recently in the story, Kenjaku is an ancient being who was alive during the days of Ryomen Sukuna. For almost as long, Kenjaku has been scheming to return the world back to a time when sorcery was supreme. His plans have failed before, thanks in no small part to Satoru Gojo and his clan in Jujutsu Kaisen. However, most recently he's sidelined Gojo and unleashed the Culling Game, a massive battle royale across 10 locations in Japan, that pit cursed spirits against jujutsu sorcerers. Previously, Kenjaku claimed that the energy created from the Culling Game would be enough to finally bring about the transformation he desires in the world.

Knowing Kenjaku's intentions for Jujutsu Kaisen's Culling Game and witnessing the mass murder currently occurring in the selected locations, no one could argue against the decision to stop Kenjaku at all costs. That is until the revelations of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 200. The Chapter reveals that cursed energy is energy that can be used or processed to provide energy just like oil, gas, or sunlight. As it turns out, cursed energy is "the cleanest source of energy". Kenjaku claims that not only has he been working on a means of processing cursed energy into usable energy but also has located a massive reserve of cursed energy that is waiting to be mined. The locations Kenjaku means are the 10 locations in Japan where the Culling Game is currently taking place.

Kenjaku Makes a Play to Save the World

JJK Cursed Energy as Clean Energy

Kenjaku's idea is revolutionary! First, since Jujutsu Kaisen's cursed energy is generated by negative emotions, assuming humanity will continue to have negative emotions, it creates a permanent, unending source of clean energy. Second, it would eliminate the need for sorcerers, or at least change their job from being cursed spirit hunters, to cursed spirit managers. Lastly, it would eliminate the threat of cursed spirits to humanity. Moreover, if true, it would instantly transform Kenjaku from "public enemy number 1" to the savior of humanity and the world. It would also end the sorcerer community's quest to stop Kenjaku. Despite the lives he's crushed to achieve this goal, with the potential human lives saved by giving up other sources of energy, there would surely be more than many non-sorcerer world who would fete him as the greatest hero in history, and deem anyone who is against him as a villain.

Naturally, with all the scheming Kenjaku has perpetrated over a millennium, it's hard not to think his plan is too good to be true. Indeed, there is no telling who he has under this control to help him convince the President of cursed energy's value. Moreover, the entry of soldiers into the Culling Game seems to be a recipe for disaster. But assuming that there's some truth to what he says, the Jujutsu Kaisen world will be fundamentally changed for the better, and this will have been brought about by the acts of a "villain".
