In Jujutsu Kaisen, it takes more than a gun or a blade to stop a rampaging Curse. Since Curses are immune to physical damage, cursed techniques are a jujutsu sorcerer's bread and butter when it comes to fighting against these evil spirits.
Some cursed techniques, such as Mai Zenin's Construction, are fairly limited and take a large toll on the user's body. However, there are some cursed techniques that are so powerful they are capable of reshaping the physical environment or swinging the outcome of a fight in the blink of an eye.
Cursed Corpse
In addition to possessing high levels of cursed energy, Masamichi Yaga controls a very unique ability. He is able to put his cursed energy inside of an inanimate object and bring it to life; the object then operates completely under his control.
Yaga uses this to great effect and can control several dolls at the same time. His dolls are imbued with super strength and speed, and while not a serious threat on their own, a swarm of them could easily overwhelm an opponent. Yaga's ultimate creation, Panda, was even given sentience and free will and represents his ultimate creation with power and intelligence far beyond any of his regular dolls.
Ide Transfiguration
One of the creepiest techniques in the series is Mahito's Idle Transfiguration Technique. This technique gives him the ability to reshape his target's soul. With this technique, he can disfigure his victims, heal himself, and transform his own body.
He uses the technique to create misshapen monstrosities that do his bidding and attack on command and usually has several small souls hidden away in case he needs them. In his fight against Yuji Itadori, Mahito showcased his technique's versatility, creating wings to boost his movement and blades on his arms for increased offensive power. While grotesque, it's also extremely effective and very difficult to counter.
Straw Doll
At first glance, Nobara's Straw Doll Technique doesn't appear very powerful, but it is actually extremely versatile and strong. By imbuing her cursed energy into her hammer and nails, she can shoot them from a long distance at her opponent, allowing her to remain at a safe distance. She can also make the nails explode and change her environment, which she used when she destroyed trees to distract Momo Nishimiya in their fight during the Goodwill Event.
When she places a straw doll on a part of a Curse and hits it with a nail, the Curse experiencing the same damage as the doll. This has proven effective even against powerful special grade Curses, so there's no telling just how strong the technique might be once it's been activated.
Ratio
Keto Nanami may act like a straight-laced salaryman, but behind his stoic demeanor, he is a powerful and cunning sorcerer. His Ratio Technique is his most often used weapon in his arsenal and has proven effective against multiple opponents. It allows him to divide his target into ten lines and then create a weak spot between lines seven and three.
While simple, the ability to create a weak spot anywhere on his opponent's body allows him to deliver massive damage anywhere he chooses with precision. When combined with the binding vows that allow him to boost his overall power, Ratio is a technique that allows Nanami to stand toe to toe against the strongest Curses.
Black Flash
The second cursed technique that Yuji learned after Divergent Fist, Black Flash is an even more powerful technique that perfectly complements Yuji's hand-to-hand fighting style. It creates a special distortion when the user's fist connects with cursed energy, causing cursed power to reverberate backward. This occurs within 0.000001 seconds and hits 2.5 times harder than a normal hit imbued with cursed energy. The technique is very difficult to control, and to date, Yuji has only managed to use it nine times.
Still, he was able to learn how to use the technique after only a short amount of time training with Todo, so he may be able to learn to use it at will.
Ten Shadows
A rare technique handed down through the Zenin family, Ten Shadows allows Megumi to create shikigami from shadows. Megumi can create up to ten different shikigami using the technique and is also able to store objects and even himself inside shadows.
Divine Dog: Totality is an upgraded version of his black-and-white divine dogs, and its claws can tear through even the toughest special grade Curses. Nue is a flying shikigami shaped like an owl that can carry heavy loads and attack quickly with lightning-enhanced talons.
The shinigami Max Elephant is able to release a huge amount of water from its trunk, while his Toads can pin opponents in place with their sticky tongues. Although the shinigami are capable of being permanently destroyed, they are extremely durable and heal over time, and grant Megumi great offensive and defensive versatility in combat.
Boogie Woogie
Aoi Todo's Boogie Woogie Technique is extremely adaptable and powerful. The technique allows Todo to switch the positions of any two objects with cursed energy that reside within the range of the sound of his hands clapping together. He can choose to switch places with another person or have two other people switch places.
While the technique is relatively simple, Todo is a master at using it in combat to disorient his opponent. The technique cannot be countered, and with Todo's impeccable timing and immense intellect and strength, the technique allows him to overwhelm almost any opponent.
Cursed Speech
Like Megumi's Ten Shadows Technique, Toge's technique was also inherited via his birth. Passed down for centuries through the Inumaki clan, the Cursed Speech Technique allows the user to channel cursed energy into words that compel the target to obey.
While the technique places a toll on the user's body, it is also extremely powerful, and there is nothing that can be done to counter its effects. Using the technique, Toge can exorcise low-level Curses with a single word, or harass more powerful opponents with a combination of orders. He can even use the technique using a cellphone or sound amplifier, granting him long-range and enhanced capabilities. The only downside is he has to constantly watch what he says to avoid hurting innocent bystanders.
Malevolent Shrine
The Domain Expansion used by Ryomen Sukuna was demonstrated early on in the series, and it was truly terrifying to behold.
Unlike most other sorcerers, Sukuna's domain doesn't create a separate space within a barrier. Instead, it imprints itself onto the existing landscape, and in doing so creates a binding vow with Sukuna's target. This allows him to attack his opponent at will as long as they are in the radius of his domain. He used the technique to great effect when fighting the Finger Bearer in the juvenile detention center, slashing the Curse to ribbons in mere seconds.
Limitless
The most complicated technique in the series is also easily the most powerful. Satoru Gojo's Limitless Technique grants him absolute control over space down to the sub-atomic level.
With this technique, Gojo can slow down time around him, thereby preventing an opponent from ever being able to hit him. He can also harness space into powerful areas of negative energy that can either repel or attract nearby opponents. When combined together, he can create a singularity that distorts the fabric of space itself and destroys anything it touches. Gojo used this against Hanami to end the battle during the Goodwill Event, and Hanami was barely able to survive.
