Since its premiere back in October 2020, Jujutsu Kaisen has quickly become one of the most popular new shonen anime, and a large part of that is attributable to the popularity of one character, Satoru Gojo. The strongest sorcerer in the world has won over a legion of fans because of his wit, cool demeanor, and incredible techniques.

In response to Satoru's popularity, fans and professional cosplayers across the web have taken to posting pictures of themselves dressed up as the show's number one sorcerer. Here are some of the best cosplays featuring Satoru, which show him off in all his glory.

Lifting The Mask By Huaxi777

This cosplay features Satoru sporting his signature eye mask in his most iconic scene. It occurs during one of the best fights in Jujutsu Kaisen when Satoru battles Jogo and reveals the true power of his Limitless Technique to audiences for the first time.

After pulling up his mask, Satoru releases his Domain Expansion, Unlimited Void, trapping Jogo in his domain as he floods the Curse's brain with an unending stream of information. This is a popular moment for cosplayers to emulate, as it provides viewers with their first glimpse of Satoru's eyes behind his mask.

Satoru Series By HakkenRyou

For this character series, the cosplayer chose to emulate Satoru's persona by capturing him in as many poses as possible. Satoru is most fans' favorite character from Jujutsu Kaisen for many reasons, but common responses point to his style, laid-back personality, powerful techniques, and sense of humor.

This series captures not only Satoru's sense of style, from his sleek black outfit and spiky white hair to his playful and confident aura. Satoru is often seen to be smirking in the anime, as he often is thinking up schemes unbeknownst to his fellow sorcerer's, which the cosplayer expertly copies in several of the photos.

Satoru Shopping By Kanemisaki

Here you can see this cosplayer chose to portray Satoru as he appeared in his first scene in the anime. In episode 2, "For Myself," Satoru shows up to Yuji's school moments after Yuji and Megumi take down the Curse that was attempting to consume Sukuna's finger.

Satoru begins to mercilessly grill Megumi for getting beaten up so badly by the Curse. He then proceeds to take pictures of Megumi with his phone and threatens to send them to Megumi's upperclassmen peers. Before engaging in a 10-second battle with Sukuna to determine who is stronger, Satoru tosses Megumi a shopping bag that contains kikufuke, a dessert similar to mochi and a delicacy of Sendai. The cosplay perfectly captures this iconic and playful scene.

Satoru Looking Thoughtful By Alexy_Sky

While Satoru is undoubtedly one of the most powerful characters in Jujutsu Kaisen no one would know that just by looking at him. He appears quite delicate with his tall frame and lanky build, and it is his softness that this cosplayer chose to highlight when portraying Satoru.

From the impish smile to the frosted white tips, the look this cosplayer chose serves to underscores Satoru's playful nature and youthful appearance. Overall, the entire ensemble is one of the more reserved and subtle portrayals of Satoru out there, which is perfect for those who want to explore the more quiet aspects of his personality.

NodokaCosplay's Uncertain About Gojo

While the full details of Satoru's Limitless Technique don't make sense, what is clear is that he must cover his eyes at all times in order to prevent his technique. To accomplish this, he often wears his unique face mask, but on rare occasions, he will opt for a pair of dark sunglasses.

Satoru wears several pairs of glasses in the anime, including a rectangular pair in a flashback where Megumi remembers training under him, and a round pair in scenes that depict Satoru in his youth. It is the round pair that this cosplayer chose to wear, and despite the artist's assertion that they can't pull them off, the resemblance is uncanny.

Nekonoi Katsu's Take On Satoru

From the beginning, Jujutsu Kaisen has avoided anime tropes that are common in other series, which is part of the reason why it is so successful. It features powerful female characters who are complicated without being incompetent or overly sexualized and skirts around overused narrative devices and themes.

The desire to be different is evident in this artist's cosplay, as the artist sports a different haircut from Satoru's typical look. The shot of the artist holding one of Sukuna's severed fingers is also a nice touch, hearkening back to the beginning of season 1 when Sotoru demonstrates to Yuji that the fingers cannot be destroyed using sorcery.

Tsun_Takeru's Satoru With Fingers Crossed

In this cosplay, the artist pays tribute to the scene where Satoru showcases his insane powers for the first time. During his fight with Jogo, Satoru demonstrates his master of sorcery by releasing his Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue and Cursed Technique Reversal: Red, two of the best techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen.

By snapping his fingers, Satoru initiates his technique and proceeds to wallop Jogo with techniques that harness the power of a black hole. The artist's pose is an obvious allusion to this scene and is sure to remind fans once again why Satoru is such an awesome character.

Reika_Japan's Laid Back Satoru

The crux of Satoru's personality is that he is extremely confident in his own abilities. Satoru goes so far as to admit to Yuji during their first meeting that he believes he is stronger than a fully restored Sukuna, which is an extremely bold claim. While he may act silly at times, when it comes to mastery of sorcery no one comes close to Satoru's level.

In this cosplay, the artist chose to emphasize this confidence by capturing Satoru in a bold pose that accurately reflects his self-assertiveness. From the way the artist chose to position Satoru's hands to the casual tilt of the head, the overall posture is one that is classic Satoru and totally matches his character.

Tongue Out By Wilson618

Many fans argue that Satoru is the best character in Jujutsu Kaisen because of his combination of silly humor and insane power that make him the most entertaining character in the series. This duality of being both silly and powerful at the same time allows him to be simultaneously approachable and cool.

It's this concept the cosplayer here chose to explore with a pose that is wacky yet strong. The artist's flashing tongue is juxtaposed by the extreme camera angle which gives viewers the impression that Satoru is bearing down onto them and makes the artist effectively appear larger than life.

Gatz_Cosplay's Smoldering Satoru

For this cosplay, the artist once again chose to recreate Satoru's iconic scene where he uses his Domain Expansion for the first time. Satoru's Unlimited Void is arguably the strongest Domain Expansion in Jujutsu Kaisen, and the scene where he uses it on Jogo and reveals his eyes is truly epic.

The aspect that sets this cosplay apart from similar attempts is the artist's choice of expression. Most cosplayers choose to depict Satoru with a playful smile, while this artist has gone for a more steely-eyed look that makes Satoru's character appear more sinister and dangerous than he already is.
