Season 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen included several scintillating fights that are still burned into fans' memories. From the thrilling fights during the Goodwill Event to the battles with the Finger Bearers, the series so far has delivered non-stop action from start to finish.

Satoru V. Sukuna

Satoru gets behind Sukuna without him realizing

Jujutsu Kaisen wastes no time in getting into the action, as Satoru faces off against the newly-revived Sukuna in only the second episode. Due to Yuji's natural ability to restrict Sukuna, Sukuna is only allowed 10 seconds of freedom to fight Satoru, but the two use every second of that time to great effect.

Despite his power and speed, Sukuna cannot land a hit on Satoru, and Satoru easily beats Sukuna aside with a powerful blow. To his credit, Sukuna takes the punch like a champ and begrudgingly admits that sorcerers are annoying no matter the era before Yuji retakes control of his body.

Maki V. Kasumi And Then Mai

Maki duels with Kasumi and then catches Mai's bullet

The Goodwill Event features several great battles, but one of the most emotionally charged fights is the one between Maki and her younger sister, Mai. Before that battle, Maki engages in a duel with Kasumi, who is quickly overwhelmed by Maki's polearm skills and loses her sword in the process, effectively ending the fight.

Maki then switches her attention to Mai. She deftly evades all of Mai's bullets and moves in to attack, but Mai surprises her by firing a seventh bullet created with her Construction Technique. Unfazed, Maki catches the bullet with her bare hand before knocking Mai out cold, proving to all who is the stronger sister.

Panda V. Mechamaru

Panda punches Mechamaru

Another thrilling Goodwill Event battle is the one between Panda and Mechamaru. Mechamaru draws first blood by shooting one of Panda's cores with a beam of cursed energy. Panda then taunts Mechamaru into firing his Ultimate Cannon from long range, and during the cooldown unleashes a dizzying combo of punches.

Realizing he has to get in close, Mechamaru destroys Panda's second core using his Ultra Cannon at point-blank range, causing Panda to transform into his Gorilla mode. Temporarily supercharged, Panda presses forward, and after deceiving Mechamaru as to the whereabouts of his final core, he manages to deliver the final blow to incapacitate his opponent.

Yuji And Then Sukuna V. Finger Bearer

Yuji bears blast and Sukuna prepares to slam Finger Bearer

The battle between Yuji and the Finger Bearer inside the juvenile detention center is the tensest action sequence in the series to date. Despite not being able to use cursed energy at this point, he offers to keep the Curse busy Megumi and Nobara can escape and get help. He puts up a fight, but ultimately the Finger Bearer crushes him.

To stay alive, Yuji allows Sukuna to possess his body. Sukuna easily overpowers the Finger Bearer, smashing it into the ground and taunting it repeatedly. He toys with the Curse and severs all of its limbs before ending the fight with his Domain Expansion: Malevolent Shrine, cutting the Finger Bearer to pieces.

Nanami V. Mahito

Nanami attacks Mahito

Nanami's and Mahito's battle in the sewers of Kawasaki City is truly epic. After evading Mahito's first attack, Nanami unleashes his Ratio Technique and severs Mahito's arm at the wrist. This prompts Mahito to reveal that his Idle Transfiguration Technique allows him to reshape souls, and demonstrates its power by healing himself before hurling a cursed corpse at Nanami.

Mahito then slips past Nanami's guard and damages him with a blast of cursed energy. Thankfully, Nanami stays alive until 6:00 PM, enabling him to get a power boost with his Binding Vow, Overtime. Knowing he has to end the fight fast, Nanami uses his Ratio Technique: Collapse to smash apart the sewer wall and crush Mahito under the debris before beating a tactical retreat.

Nanami & Yuji V. Mahito

Nanami and Yuji surround Mahito

Despite Nanami's best efforts, he is unable to defeat Mahito during their first battle, prompting a second encounter between the two. After Mahito kills Yoshino, Yuji flies into a rage and tries to land as many hits with his Divergent Fist as possible. Mahito counters by transforming his arms into different weapons including three rotating blades, a drill, and a giant spiked mace.

Just as Mahito is about to land a killing blow, Nanami appears, and he and Yuji go on the offensive. Drunk on the excitement of combat, Mahito manages to unleash his domain expansion and trap Nanami inside, but it is incomplete, and Yuji quickly breaks through the barrier. Before he and Nanami can end the fight, Mahito escapes into the sewers and lives to fight another day.

Megumi V. Finger Bearer

Megumi kicks the Finger Bearer

Megumi's first encounter with a Finger Bearer ended in him running away, but in his second encounter, he refuses to flee. From the start, the Finger Bearer has the advantage, forcing Megumi on the defensive. Megumi tries to use his shikigami, but the Finger Bearer is too fast and it blasts him into a wall, causing his head to bleed profusely. He loses control of his shikigami and fades in and out of consciousness.

Just when it seems he has lost, Megumi wills himself to exert greater effort and manages to activate his Domain Expansion: Chimera Shadow Garden. The floor becomes covered in shadows that grab and attack the Finger Bearer, granting Megumi the opening he needs for his Divine Dog: Totality to exorcise the Curse.

Nobara & Yuji V. Eso & Kechizu

Nobara and Kechizu fighting Kechizu and Eso in Jujutsu Kaisen

Nobara and Yuji's battle with Eso and Kechizu starts rough, but that's also what makes the ending so satisfying. The two brothers use their Rot Technique: Decay to poison Nobara and Yuji, but unfortunately for Eso and Kechizu, Nobara and Yuji are a bad matchup for them. , Yuji is resistant to most poisons due to his connection with Sukuna, while Nobara uses her Straw Doll Technique to push nails into her own arm to attack the brothers' blood inside her veins.

In this manner, Yuji and Nobara turn the tables on the brothers and go on the offensive. Nobara uses her Hairpin Technique to kill Kechizu, while Yuji runs down the fleeing Eso and finishes him off with a bone-snapping punch from his Divergent Fist.

Aoi & Yuji V. Hanami

Aoi and Yuji surround Hanami

Aoi's and Yuji's battle with Hanami is the most fun fight in season 1. It begins with Yuji attempting to land a blow on Hanami, but he becomes distracted and his first punch is ineffective. In response, Aoi slaps Yuji and reminds him to concentrate. Now fully focused, Yuji tries again and lands a blow with his Black Flash, wounding Hanami.

Aoi then unleashes his Boogie Woogie Technique and together he and Yuji overwhelm Hanami with their lightning-fast combinations. However, Hanami reveals she can heal herself by sucking the life from the environment, putting the sorcerers at a disadvantage. Just when things are looking grim, Satoru breaks through the barrier and ends the fight by unleashing a blast of cursed energy at Hanami, who barely manages to escape alive.

Satoru V. Jogo

Satoru blows Jogo's mind

While the Aoi's and Yuji's battle with Hanami is the most fun fight of season 1, the coolest fight is certainly Satoru's battle with Jogo. Jogo ambushes Satoru and unleashes several explosive blasts that appear to land, but he is unable to leave a scratch on the wily sorcerer.

Enjoying Jogo's disbelief, Satoru decides to let the Curse in on the secret behind his technique. In a show of complete disregard for his opponent, Satoru even takes the time to teleport and bring Yuji to witness their fight. Infuriated, Jogo unleashes his Domain Expansion: Coffin of the Iron Mountain but is immediately countered by Satoru's own Domain Expansion: Limitless Void. Unable to move, Jogo can only watch helplessly as Satoru cuts off his head.
